We are planning only one night in hotel and one day at Islands of Adventure. Might check out DTD the following morning. Is HRP far from Universal? Is it silly to stay here if not planning on doing any of the Dis parks? Any advice would be appreciated..

If it was me I stay closer to IOA. Because I need to be close to the parks where I going so I don't get lost.

Try out the best ride in IOA Spiderman ride.

It's your vacation do what feels right to you and your family.

Daisy,Just wanted to ask what HRP stands for??

I would stay at one of the US/IOA hotels for FOTL, if thats not possible I agree with previous post I would stay closer to those parks.

I'm with everyone else, if you are only going to do US/IOA I would stay closer to US/IOA.

Somewhere like the Sleep Inn Universal, Fairfield Inn Universal, Wingate Inn Orlando, or someone like that.

Thank-you for advice...now, which hotel is inexpensive and nice & close to IOA, it's amazing how overwhelmed you get whilst searching the net..
LOL, Aaron must have written his post the same time I did..
Thanks again..:)

How much are you looking to pay? I'll help you find a hotel, you can post here or send me a e-mail (aaronmyers@bellsouth.net) :teeth:

How about the Doubletree Hotel at the Entrance to Universal Studios? It used to be the Radisson twin towers...
They say it's only 1/3 mile from the Universal entrance. That seems close to me.Though I have not stayed there myself....
Good luck with your hotel search Daisy.(and yeah I should have known what HRP stood for but it went right over my head...)

If you can swing staying on site, it would be totally worth it for the front of the line since you are only going one day. They have fantastic pools and City Walk as well. If not, I would stay closer to Universal to save some time.
