Is it possible to walk in w/o an ADR?

I'm hoping to get a walk-in during our may trip at 'Ohana for dinner. I know chances are slim to none, but I have called everyday without any luck, so, this is my last chance to eat our fav meal in WDW.

We couldn't get a ressie for Ohana so we showed up at 4:30pm (they open at 5:00pm) when the hostess came out we asked if there was any way to get in without a ressie and she said sure you'll probably be seated around 5:15pm. We were seated at 5:10 and there were still empty tables. Our waitress told us if you come before opening you are likely to get seated coming any later is tough and could have very long waits. So I say as long as you are open to eating early go for it. I wouldn't show up any later that 4:40-4:45pm though.

We never make ADRs. First we don't know which park we are going to be at for the days we are there (we never plan). And second we don't go to all the table service restaurants...mostly counter service. On both of our last two trips I called the day before to make a reservation for Sci-Fi and 50s Prime Time. Each time we were fine getting a table for the times we wanted. And the times were sort of peak times for dinner. I would just call ahead...its easy just a button on the resort phone...to make sure. Keep in mind that sometimes might be really busy and having a back up time or restaurant would be nice.

I agree that it depends on when you go. DH and I went December '08 and we were so suprised at how many restaurants were turning walk-ins away. We never go without a week's worth of ADR's made and the last trip I was glad that I'm so anal about ADR's. The parks didn't even seem crowded, but when it came to dinner times...the restaurants were crazy.

I have ADR's during the week of June 22 to June 28.

I have 1900 Park Fare, 'Ohana, Coral Reef, Le Cellier & Akershus Royal Banquet Hall all between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Chef Mickey's is the only late I have at 7:45. Called on my 90th day at 7:00 a.m. ET.

I would suggest ADR's if you want to eat where you want.

I hope we can get in.. We had to switch our park days completely and that was after I had gotten all of our ADRs. Now, I'm scrambling to find Chef Mickey's on April 6.. gonna be tough, but I keep calling daily trying to catch someone with a cancellation. If not, we're walking up, just like the person above me said. We'll see.

Thanks for all the input...I will hold onto all my ADRS! The five of us (3 children) leave in 7 days...I am just concerned because we do not hold hoppers and we hav MK ADR's for an EHM....ugh...and now that it is open from 7am-3am...I can only imagine the crowd that will be....I was just wondering if I swapped all the parks around at this late date (knowing a new adr would be near impossible) what my odds of eating...we do have DDP....

Thanks kindly to all! Only one week!!! Ta dah!!! Doing the Disney Dance:cool1:
