one thing to remember--ART takes a mid-day break so if it happens when you want to go back to your hotel you might be hung out for an hour or so (you could always walk back)

Here is a map of the route I was talking about. FYI when i was there they were running the Lion King parking tram even though they were redirecting cars to park in the main parking lot. anyways click this link to see the short walk map: http://64.128.14.168/marriott-to-dl.jpg

Thanks for the link. I was going to make up a map that looked like this. I think the red line is just to the left of the crosswalk, but close enough. My dd & her friends have been to a few Anime conventions and walked to DL afterwards. The convention center is right next to the Marriott, so the walk isn't that much farther. There is a big crosswalk, and I would say that guests staying at the Marriott, the Hilton, & the Anabella would use this crosswalk, and go through the arched entrance to the parking lot & to the esplanade from there. To go to Downtown Disney you'd go along Katella & turn right at Disney Drive, & go through the Grand Californian (at least, that is the route my dd took to meet up with us at Tortilla Jos.

If you're used to walking then it really isn't that much of a walk. I see a lot of people walking back to that hotel & even the Clarion after a day at DL.
