Is it possible to trade credits for items?

I've been around for a while but haven't been an avid player so I still don't know all the ins and outs of VMK.
I have a mule and I'd love to transfer it's credits over to my main character. Is this possible? I didn't think so but on the trades boards I see people offering credits for items. How does this work?

You need to buy a quest kiosk to transfer credits but they are currently not available and they are not tradeable

The quest kiosk was very expensive, so not really an option in this situation. I do know some use the kiosk to give their kids extra credits to use and to transfer credits in a trade.

Just a reminder to be aware of the risks and be very careful when you choose to use the kiosk in a trade.

since the kiosk isn't available right now, your best bet would probably be to buy the stuff you really want (or at least stuff you'd buy anyway) with your mule and then trade the items to your main.
