Headed to the World in two weeks and I was thinking of making up a Disney gift basket for my next door neighbors. They are super sweet but hard to buy for because they have a 16 year-old in the house, 2 adults, and then their aging parents (so total of 5 people). Last year I did a movie basket for them, year before I did all kinds of coffee/tea/hot cocoa.

Anyway, they LOVE Disney so I thought it would be cute to bring back some food like the pretzels, a few candy bars, etc...but do you think I will be able to put together something decent looking on my budget of $25? Maybe I'm better off just trying to find some gourmet foods locally on BF?

It sounds like a very nice idea. We were at WDW a few weeks ago. There are plenty of non-perishable items that are $5.00 or less. Goofy Candy Co., Chip and Dale, etc. We brought several home as gifts and they were a hit. In a basket, they would be great!:goodvibes

I think you could come up with something... :) Look locally too you can find disney related goodies at Walgreens and other places... but for sure you can get some Mickey Rice Crispy and a few other things that are only in the World

Good to know I'll be able to find things for $5 or less! :thumbsup2 Hopefully I can put together something nice for them!

Okay, call me crazy but I would also use three or four extra napkins (you know when you are at WDW or DL and you're eating and you always get extra that you don't use so you leave them on the table yet they blow away) yeah, get those and put them in your gift basket with the food.

Good idea! And if you get popcorn while you're there, save the bucket and use that as the "basket". Maybe add some of the travel soaps/shampoos you get in the room? Maybe a kitchen towel or something along that line if you can find one cheap.

Dollar Tree stores carry a variety of candies, juice boxes, etc. with Disney characters.

I think you could definitely do it! I do think they would have more fun with it if the food actually came from WDW!:thumbsup2
