Hope I'm in the right place. We will be at WDW Dec 10-16 and we are renting my mom a scooter for the first time. I know that they can be driven right onto the buses and monarails. My question is we have an ADR at GF one morning at 8:30 and was trying to see if it is possible to get a taxi van to pick us up instead of having to transfer buses. There are 5 total in our party. The scooter can not be broken down. Do they have taxi's that you can schdule ahead of time to pick you up that will let the scooter drive right on?

Having a scooter is a whole new thing for us. It took me a while to finally talk mom into using one. I think it is really going to make her trip better. She will be more rested and have more fun. I just want to make things as easy as possible for her. The more I know ahead of time the better it will be.

thank you for all the help.

I know they have them in my area ( my town is smaller then orlando ) so I am guessing they would have them in orlando you may need to call the taxi company in advance maybe a day or two so they can have the driver there with the right vehicle for your group ( and with 5 of you you may have to take a car too but that should not be a problem) I would also have them pick you up earlier then you think in case something goes wrong. ( like they for get to have an accessable van) I do not have the phone number for teethe taxi ( and I forgot the name of them I think it is something like Mires)

You could rent from Apple scooter which has the type you can break down. I am looking into doing this just in case my mother and I need to use Uber once in a while

1) MEARS does have taxi vans that can handle drive-on vehicles (scooters and wheelchairs).
2) Your Lobby Concierge can order one for you, but usually the day-of and not the night-before.
3) Call Concierge at least one-hour ahead of desired pick-up time.

NOTE: You can also call MEARS directly at 407-422-2222.

So we took a mears taxi a few times our last visit, since I needed to stay in my wheelchair they sent a van for us where they open the trunk and I could wheel up the ramp and the wheelchair could be secured down to the floor of the vehicle and I could remain in the wheelchair the whole time. I just have to say in that type of vehicle (which was a regular van that was converted for wheelchairs, not an extra large van or anything) my wheelchair fit without an issue but a really large ECV might not have fit so I'd call the taxi company and ask if the specific type of EVC you are renting will fit to be on the safe side.

BTW allow a lot of extra time to get that special van if you need it, once it arrived within about half an hour but once it took over an hour closer to an hour and a half to arrive, so either call ahead, use the app or be prepared to wait if you have them call for you once you get out front.

If all else fails, you can always get a bus to MK and then take the monorail round to GF.

Will the monorail run at that time to the GF?
I believe the monorail starts running an hour prior to park opening and MK opens no later than 9 and may open at 8 am. So yes, the monorail should be running in time for you to get to an 8:30 ADR at the GF.

I do know the resort monorail starts before the other one, but if your ADR is 8;30 then both should be going before then, this is why I said to ask for the taxi early in case they did not have what you need then you could take disney transportation. and if you get to the GF supper earlier you can all ways look around people watch.

Keep looking for a later time for your restaurant reservation. You may be able to get one for 9 am and you wouldn't have a problem.

We took the non collapsible scooter taxi by mears from dinner to our hotel last week. it was fairly cheap less than $15 and the service took less than 10min to arrive. A note though the one we took only seated 3 people and you couldnt ride the scooter on you had to transfer.
