We a PS for Ohana in Nov.
I normally eat a pretty much vegan diet, although on occasion I will eat seafood, so I'll probably have some shrimp. Can O'hana make anything else for me besides turkey, steak, or pork? Honestly, if they can't, it's no biggie. The appetizers/shrimp will probably fill me up. Just want to know my options, especially since its 23 a person! :wave2:

Any restaurant at disney--you can make it known on your PS that you require a "special" meal--I did that for Mickey's BBQ as my hubby wanted to go and I was pregnant and could eat no BBQ and no meat. My only tiff--it was requested--but I had to wait as they made sure I showed up and then put my food on the grill to cook. That was certainly annoying. Also annoying--it was veggies alright--whole and uncut--and basically heated--so it was hot raw veggies that were most difficult to consume. I guess next time I ought to be a little more specific :hyper:

Whenever you are unsure if your dietary needs can be met--just ask. When you get to the restaurant--sometimes the chef will come out and speak with your personally (though I am unfamiliar with Ohana). That happened at Tony's--another pregnant moment--everyone wanted Italian so I booked it--and made it known that I was outvoted and couldn't tolerate Italian...so I pre-ordered a Tuna Fish sandwich. Chef came out to confirm my non-Italian request and prepared it for me easily. By his reaction--I think it was his most unusual request for Tony's :)

Disney is great b/c with so many restaurants in close vicinity--with a day or 2 notice they can have available in their kitchen food to meet your needs. Heck, even V & A's has a vegetarian menu.

Good luck!

I'm sure they can make you something you can eat, but I would make sure to ask ahead. I don't think there any even that many things on the app. tray you can eat. The green beans have bacon in them and I think the rice might have ham. Maybe the wontons would be okay because I think they are just seafood. The salad is good and the bread. But I wouldn't want to just eat salad, bread and shrimp.

Last December, we went to O'Hana with a large party and my sister-in-law is a vegetarian (ovo lacto) - she called ahead from the hotel the day before and they made her a pasta dish which she said was delicious. She ate that and the salad and had plenty of room for the pineapple w/caramel at the end! You should be fine - she enjoyed everything and they didn't make her feel awkward or anything... good luck! :earsboy:

Awesome.. thanks so much for the info guys. I'll definitely call before we go. I can't wait!! (I'm from Boca by the way ;) )
