The airline restrictions for transporting lighters have increased significantly since our last trip and both me and my fiancé are smokers. You can carry on a couple of books of matches on a plane bat that will only take you so-far. So, is there a place where we can buy a lighter in the WDW?

(Sorry, if this is a wrong forum)

I don't remember ever seeing them in the parks, but I don't know for sure. Either way you should be able to buy them at a resort shop or one of the gas stations on Disney property (or any other shop off Disney). Also, a lot of people (not necessarily you, but just adding on) forget that just because you can't take certain items on as a carry on, you can still put them in your checked bags and then retrieve them after you get your bags at baggage claim. Maybe put them in a small outer pocket so you can get to them quickly as soon as you pick up your bags.

Thanks for the responce, but I just checked the TSA regulations:

"Lighters - All lighters are prohibited as carry-on items. Lighters without fuel are permitted in checked baggage. Lighters with fuel are prohibited in checked baggage, unless they adhere to DOT exemptions, which allows up to two fueled lighters if properly enclosed in a DOT approved case. If you are uncertain as to whether your lighter is prohibited, please refrain from bringing it to the airport."

Lighter fluid is also perhibited from being transported as checked lugage and carry-on.

just go to the resorts store and find the 'evil' register. that's the register that sells the stuff they don't want you to know that they sell(liquor, smokes and lighters) i would assume all the resorts have a register like this. i know the all-stars and pop do for sure. $5.75 for a pack of smokes??? you gotta be kidding. great time for me to quit. :thumbsup2

The resort shops have lighters as previously mentioned. You can also pick one up in the airport on your way to ME.

You'd think they'd start a "lighter exchange" at the airports. All the ones discarded at the the departure gates could be moved to the arrival gates!
