The RF are probably going thank goodness for Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez calling off their engagement Friday afternoon. That news basically buried M&H.

Who have quickly come out today to say they are still together & "working through some things". So yeah, that should keep the press busy for awhile.

PS: Somewhere up-thread, someone mentioned hearing that Doria Ragland had been a flight attendant. That's a bit of Duchess' MIL Conflation, if you will: it was Carole Middleton who worked as a flight attendant, before she started an online party-goods business, which did very well; just before the lockdowns began it was estimated to be worth about £40M, and she and her husband still run it as a privately-held company.

Is the irony not lost on you that you’re upset with what you believe are lies M&H told, but you’re running and spreading rumors about things that are hearsay? Do you have anything to back up the claim about her calling Charlotte fat?

As someone who doesn't really care about the RF or H&M & is only reading this thread out of boredom, I've been thinking the same thing, but for both sides of the discussion. Those who are against H&M have no problem speculating about them without proof, but have a problem with them making accusations without offering proof. Those who are pro H&M, have no problem with them making accusations without proof, but have a problem with others speculating about them. This thread is full of hypocrisy on both sides. I don't see either side having the moral high ground here.

I tend to agree with you. I definitely am more sympathetic to H&M because I understand what can lead one want to leave a situation, even if it doesn’t seem earth shattering to the outside world.

The difference to me is that H&M DO have knowledge of the inner workings of the RF. Now it may be skewed and the way they react different than people would like. But they aren’t doing it without knowledge of what they believe to be their truth. The public is doing it without any proof. They’ll say they do, but it’s become apparent through out this thread that many believe it’s made up when it supports H&M, but absolutely factual when it’s against them. Or they cherry pick the parts that back up their argument. And that is hypocritical.

I personally am not as invested as some. But I do strongly believe that people are allowed to walk away from situations, including family, that are not what’s in their best interest. They don’t owe any loyalty to the BRF. On that, if they choose to walk away, they need to do it. It can’t be with strings attached. But this idea that they aren’t allowed to live their own life is ridiculous to me.

What I do see is some posters repeatedly bashing, bashing bashing. It borders on obsession. Maybe a little beyond obsession and into a dark place where some therapy is needed. Post after post after post with the same hate.........how can such hate exist for people that a person only knows as a public figure??? Scary.

Where did I say that there weren't documented facts to back up some things they claimed weren't true? I personally don't believe everything they claim, but some things on here that are stated as facts are obviously speculation based on rumors & hearsay. I read it from an insider isn't exactly facts.

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen anyone say they shouldn't have been allowed to walk away. If they had simply walked away & not pursued the attention of the media that they were supposedly so eager to get away from, this thread would have been dead a long time ago.

One perspective is partially backed by facts. There's also a lot of, "I read it in an article an insider wrote." or "I heard it from a friend of the family." That is all hearsay not facts.

Protocol of their own doing. They can respond anyway and anytime the want to. Stop acting like it’s some law and not self imposed.

It is also morally wrong to allow family to suffer because one won’t buck protocol. If my family allowed me to be treated like absolute garbage because of protocol, I’d distance myself too.

The knife cuts both ways. There isn’t one side who’s innocent in this.

The royal family chose to respond in a dignified way with a statement. The family wants to handle it privately. Hopefully, both sides will do further negotiations privately too. And both sides go on to “live long and prosper.”

While I can understand why people in the UK and Commonwealth are interested in the Royal Family, I don't understand why anyone else is. They are as dull as dishwater. I majored in history and still read a lot about history so I'm interested in them from a historical perspective, but the current members? Not so much.

Speaking only for myself, I can tell you why I enjoy following them. I like their clothes. I have a thing for beautiful dresses and accessories and nobody else dresses like they do. All the other celebrities dress too avant-garde for me. I love to see beautiful fabrics and accessories, instead of a bunch of skin, which is what most celebrities show more of. I even like seeing photos of Princess Anne, because she always wears well-cut woolens and things.
