Alright, I see it is time to get the ball rolling on this trip report. I wouldn't want Sarah to eat all of Gregory's candy before she gets any details or anything

. So, off we go.
Because we had such a diverse group, we were all arriving at different times. Lisa flew down on Thursday and had Thursday evening, all day Friday, and Saturday morning on her own. Amber and Cindy flew down Friday night. Rob drove up Friday night and stayed with them. I believe the 3 of them headed to Daytona on Saturday so Cindy and AMber could see the ocean. I was the last of the group to arrive, I didn't get down until Saturday afternoon. I can't give you details of their arrival, but I can certainly tell you about mine!
My trip actually started with 2 stress dreams the night before I left. The first one had me living back in the house I grew up in (my parents don't even live there anymore, having sold the house and "retired" to the lake.) For whatever reason, in my dream we were all sleeping in the basement. I "woke up" when the overhead flourescent lights (which never actually existed) started shattering. I woke my parents up and just then, the house caught on fire. We ran up from the baement, called 911, and then ran out. As we were leaving, I said to my parents "Well, I'll never make my flight now. I"m going to miss my disney trip."
Once again I "woke up" from that dream and looked at the clock. The clock said 5:50 am. What?? My cab was supposed to pick me up at 5:30am. How did I oversleep? Then I heard a knocking on the door and opened the door to the cab driver in my bra and panties

. Then I woke up for real. And it was 4:44am - one minute before my alarm was set to go off.
Oh, what a way to start the day. But hey, I'm going to Disney so it can only get better, right? I get ready, pack the last minute things, and head downstairs to wait for my cab. Of course, I was, in my head, completely ready to be in Florida where it was hot so I was dressed in my park clothes - t-shirt, coolotts (how DO you spell that word?) and tennis shoes. I was FREEZING in St. Louis. Oh cab, hurry up.
By 5:35, I got worried so I made a quick call to the cab company. Don't worry the cab is on its way the nice man tells me. Ok, no problem. The cab finally gets there at 5:50 (was I pyschic this morning?) and off we go. Because he knows he was running late to pick me up, he drives REALLY fast to the airport. And he was really chatty. I am NOT a morning person so I'm not sure I did more than grunt but I know a lot about this man and his life.
Check in was a breeze and I am through security and waiting at the gate by 6:30am. Everything was running on time and we are off to Atlanta exactly when we should be. The first flight was fine. There were 2 men sitting a row in front of me who were hitting on one of the flight attendants. I spent most of the flight laughing at them as they turned around to find her and made up reasons to have her come talk to them. I also heard them ask her to join them for coffee in Atlanta. I kind of wish I knew what ended up happening there.
I hate the Atlanta airport.

Too many bodies, too much travel stress, just too much. Even the people who work in the airport seem to be stressed and unhappy. My second flight was oversold and they were asking for people to voluntarily give up their seats. Not going to happen my friends, I am on my way to Disney!!! As we are boarding, I heard the gate agent going over the rules of carry-ons one more time and she said "Don't even try to bring more than 1 carry on and 1 personal item. If you have more, have your credit card ready and I will be more than happy to take your money." I thought she was making a joke and laughed. She was not trying to be funny and didn't appreciate my laughing.
The flight was pretty uneventful and pretty soon, I was landing in Orlando!!

I practically skipped down to ME. Then I got confused for a minute by the new proceedure. I don't have to stand in line at the counter?? Ok. I showed my documents, got in line for my bus, and was on the bus and on the way to Old Key West in less than 10 minutes!
It wasn't long before I saw this -
I was ready to go. I was meeting Rob to check in to our resort, Lisa was picking us up, and we were going to be at MK by 4:00. The vacation is off!
Up next: Did Rob make it to check in? Were we at MK by 4:00? Did I mention it was surface of the sun hot????
