Is it May Yet? Little Buzz and baby Alien take over-Final Pictures pg 6- 5/15

I just stumbled upon your PTR! I have a 6yr old DS and an almost 3 yr old DS (he'll be 3 by the time we go in November)...

Your trip looks great! Can't wait to see more pictures and here the rest of your plans!

I did want to tell you about one thing I did with my younger son on our last trip while his big brother was off riding some of the rides he was too little to go on... We prepared the empty mini m&ms tubes for the penny presses that can be found all over the parks ... then while my older son was off riding, my younger son would get to hunt for an "extra" penny press machine. Older DS still got to press some pennies, but younger DS got extras ... He loved showing off his new penny to his older brother upon reuniting and his older brother would tell him all about the ride.

wanted to say i love this penny tip:thumbsup2

So what is the pressed penny- one of the machines you stick a penny and a few quarters as a fee and crank to get a flat penny with picture? Are they all over? We have some from the zoo- dumb question...what do you do with them? Thanks for the idea!!

Yup! 2 quarters and 1 penny for most of the machines. Some are actually pressed QUARTER machines ... those are 5 quarters (I think:confused3 maybe 4 quarters total) ...

Disney sells a tri fold book for them ... Or you can find books for them other places ...

But my kids LOVE things that involve getting coins from someone ... they think it's AWESOME to put coins in the Make a Wish and St Jude's funky banks at Sams Club, etc. and all it does is go down a "neat" track ... They'd spend HOURS watching that sort of stuff :rotfl:

http://www.presscoins.com/ Is one place to see what sort of pressed pennies the parks have ...

So, if you stack your 2 quarters and 1 penny units and then put them in a mini m&m's tube, they're ready to go and you're not stuck counting out coins every time you see a machine :-)

Thanks for that info on the pennies, I thought maybe I was missing something, lol. Not sure if yds will get into it but we can try.

Well first I want to do a happy dance that its supposed to get warmer, please oh please let it get warmer. I want to get the kids their stride rites and have a few weeks to wear and break them in but with snow 3X in the last 2 weeks, it has not happened.

Now on to our Disney easter basket- Any ideas? I have disney gift cards, Ill get some mickey treats of some kind and I have phineas and ferb from dis store.
We are traveling to VA for easter so I need to drag it wit us. I think I will make Tonga Toast for easter breakfast:cloud9: I need to come up with a meal we can eat in the RV on the way back from MIL since we head home on sunday.

Still no sun hat for ods, I cant believe how hard it is to find a cute hat that isnt a baseball cap.
Today, my purchases (bathing suits) all were returned! We went through last summers clothes and sure enough, my tiny peanuts still fit in last years clothes! I had 2 bathing suites each and reg. flip flops for my the pool, hats for yds and lots of shirts. Sweet, nothing to buy until school starts if that.

As I am waiting for my mickey mail(thinking in a week or so based on when others going in the weeks prior to me are getting theirs) I am making more Mikcey Mail for the kids. I found a few Maps that I am going mark things for ods. He said he was taking the map he made to get from airport, lol. I also have invites to get done and Ill mail over the next few weeks.

I added today a celebration to our tomorrowland ressie, yds birthday is the week after we get back as well as ods graduates PreK:sad1:

My plans this weekend is to finish my reverse side of my itinerary so I have my misc. info on it. Must dos, FP rides, show times. Still working on the dreaded snack list, darn its huge! I also want to get a few CS places that we might want to hit on it so I am not there thinking which place had the ...

So my CS list-
I know we like Flame tree and there was a great place to get cocktails was it yak and Yeti??
We have to get to planet pizza
after that I recall Cosmic Rays we had once and I had chili at caseys since I was cold and wet(yes, that cold and wet in May, it was brutal.)
Heres one of our drier days in EP

DSC05549.jpg

And now, I try not to think THAT^^^ will be my fate once again. My friends wife offered us their ponchos Just in case UGH, I hope we dont need them or not to the extent we did before. We cant get record rains two trips in a row.

Well this post was all over the place, I should be sleeping so nite all. Maybe Ill have anoother disney dream like last night

I am getting my park days more in detail planning done before I post day 6 our last park day. Ok, IM stalling a little
Trying to decide what I can and want to do.
Day one We arrive late so I am not sure where to begin. It will be sunday with PM EMH.

I hope to be in MK before 1 pm since we land at 10:32. We will want a CS meal but maybe get a FP before. Possibly the mickey FP on main st. At that point, head to Tomorrowland since we didnt get to it last trip(in 2 days, it was thaat terrible of weather.) Does it make a difference where we begin at that late hour?

Must See/Do List
Buzz Lightyear
Space Mnt for only DH and I child swap
Monsters Inc
Astro Orbiter
(I know I know no one likes it but we havent done it ever so have to try it once.)
TTA
TL indy speedway
Carousel of progress.

* Can anyone give me an idea how long to expect it to take to accomplish these items?
So at that point, should we return to main St and see mickey(given we got a FP upon entry) or cut across to adventureland?

Jungle cruise
we got into line twice last time for it but lightning prevented us from boarding. I recall it was long and hot so not sure if this would be better on our second MK day earlier or later in the day?
Magic Carpets of Alladin
POC
(must do on day one and two of MK)

This leaves us to do on MK day 2 Fantasy land, Haunted mansion and Liberty Belle Riverboat in liberty square (skip hall of pres. unless someone needs a nap and we arent going back to resort:rotfl:) and Frontierland as well as anything we chose to skip along the way due to lines or just tired and want to return to resort. We really hope they nap(good chance) and we can see Electric Light Parade at 9 but I am totally flexible on that. I would leave at that point since we have Wished dessert party friday.

We are eating only at CS places this day since we really didnt know how everyone would feel.

Your plans sound fun - I have no help for knowing a best way to accomplish everything -- I am totally winging it!:rotfl:

About pressed pennies: DD and I make pressed pennies everywhere. Its just a fun little memento of where we've been. I have looked and never found a collectible book outside of Disney. I actually made my friend get one for us when she went because when I saw one I was too cheap to buy it:lmao: thinking "I'll find one somewhere else"...and I never did.

for me pressed pennies are one souvenir I pretty much can always afford :rotfl:

Just caught up with your PTR and your plans sound great. Can't wait to hear more.popcorn::
It looks like you guys will be leaving the day before we get there so we will just miss each other.:guilty:
Here is hoping that the rain stays away for the two weeks during our trips.:thumbsup2

There is a great little play area by the exit of SM that your YDS might like while you and your ODS are on the ride. My brother took my ODS and DD on the ride while my YDS and I played there (made for the smaller kids). I than used the baby swap and I got back in line with DD while my bro stayed with the boys. My YDS didn't even relize he was missing something.
Another great area to play with the YDS is at the Bone Yard if ODS wants to do Dinosaur.
At DHS, Honey I Shrunk the kids Playarea was a big hit with all of my kids (ages 2,4, and 7 at the time) I am sure YDS would love some time in there while one of you took ODS on some rides with Height requirments.:goodvibes

I did the same thing with the DDP. At first I went with the QSDP not wanting to take away to much time from our fun, but after my 3rd ADR it was time to upgrade. I guess great minds think alike.:thumbsup2 Oh, and don't forget to stop by Aloha Ilse and get yourseld a Dole Whip. That Pinapple Ice Cream is supper yummy.:cloud9:

Thanks for the play area tips, Ill piut it on my itinerary sheets. I forgot about bone yard. We didnt get to it or Honey I shrunk one becuase they close it when the rains get really bad.
I am glad to get the DDP support, I always question myself. I am more excited then I expected at my choices.
Ill think good weather for us all upcoming:dance3:

SO today has been a good day, mostly non disney related but started off with figuring its one month, one week, one day to go. But the other biggie is we have been anxiously awaiting word that we can move DS out of our(crappy) school district and into another better with after care which is also RIGHT next to YDS preschool/daycare. we foubd out today that NJ approved him so we can move forward with application process:cool1: Not that we know if he is accepted but a lot closer. I was starting to sweat it and even had a tour booked for tomorrow morning at private. Now I need to get one of many applications done tomorrow. We should know by early June if he can go.

So our easter baskets arent as Disney as I would like but they should be cute.
We got-
disney(cars and toy story)book lights
Yds a Mickey Mouse Easter Story
Ods a Backyardigans Easter book because its easy enough for him to read alone(he loves to read which is the reason for a book light, he is just like me.)
Mini camping fans for floridas heat
Easter light up spinny eggs which make great lights for Electric Light parade
Glow Sticks
Buzz lazer water squirter and a cars tool squiter
And each kid will get a $25 Disney Gift card for souveniers which ill put into a plastic egg for egg hunt.
I need to look at grocery for the disney dried fruit and if I see anything else, lollys for the plane maybe.
Ill add some stickers as well as the candy and welches fruit snacks we got.
Hey, now that I put it down, looks pretty good. They have a Eeor and tigger basket(which I need to get out of attic.)
SO our Easter will be a 2 week celebrations. We start tomorrow with a visit to Bunny at the mall- mary Ellen, we always go to Palmer:thumbsup2
Saturday I work then we will color eggs
Sunday (this week) DH will pick up his Gram (90 yo) and have her over for easter dinner.
Then DH leaves sunday night for massachusets for work, until Thursday when he drives 5 hrs back.
Then We get up bright and early friday morning to drive 9 hrs to mother in laws in VA. We hope to leave by 7 am but taking the RV so an easy commute for me and kids:woohoo: I feel badly for DH, its a long drive. We come back on easter sunday so I am planning a meal I can make so we can stop and dh can relax for a few min. A very quick trip but the faster we get through April, the faster we get to DISNEY

I havent had time to keep up with PTRs. I know many ppl are getting so close. I hope to get to read others over the weekend a little.
We have so much going on but basically a nice easter with a lot of driving.
DN wedding in 3 weeks so trial runs and color hair for my mom, dn.
My exams in 2 weeks and 6-8 pg papers due next week(that I havent started t actualy write)
DH traveling a lot
Sorting out details for ods kindergarten year- transfering out of our district. I think we should have an answer.
I have yet to find tme to make kids Tshirts(I want them to be a sursprise so after they are in bed is my only time and I need to do school work and clean then)

So with only a few minutes Ill sadly add my last park day to here.
Friday May 27
Magic Kingdom.
Arrive at rope drop and hope to see the opening ceremony for the first time.
I have not had any real time to plan attractions but mainly what we didnt get to on day one and anything we want to do again.
Meet and Greets with Woody and Buzz(need to figure out where they are exactly)
As long as kids are going strong and feeling ok or resting in stroller we may try an all day with no return to resort, but Ill be open to leaving as needed.
Dinner Whispering Canyon 5pm- take boat over(havent done that)
return to park and enjoy whats left for us.
9 pm, relax at tomorrowland Dessert party while watching wishes and indulging

Can you squeeze anything else in before you go to WDW? you know maybe you want to buy a new house and move, too. :lmao::lmao:

You will enjoy the ferry ride to Whispering Canyons. and the geyser is fun for the kiddos. while you are visiting WLR, take the elevator up and look out the windows and down into the lobby from high up. its a whole different perspective and just beautiful!

I was thinking that this summer maybe we could do a local DISMeet & share photos and stories!

Great tip about the elevator to look out ! Thanks.
I would love a dismeet and share. What a fun idea.
Lol about more to do, I know I was thinking how is it possible? I had my last class today, so maybe just maybe I can get my paper going and take afew minutes for these darn shorts. I did wind up getting the dark transfers afterall. It wasnt worth going through the work and haveing them look like crud.

Still trying to catch up on some movies so with a nice migrane, I was able to convince kids to watch lilo and stitch! Love it. I really want them to see cinderella but I cant find it. I tried netflix and library so now I am looking to friends to see if anyone has it to loan.

Happy Mother's Day!!! how funny - I picked this image and then saw your post about watching Lilo & Stitch. I must be psychic....(or is it pscho??:lmao::lmao::lmao:)

We are so close and I have to tell you that I am so over trying to get my house clean. I figure if my Dh is not worried about it, then I'm not gonna either. :rolleyes1

Hope you enjoyed your day, migraine free

Woo hoo, here we are, under 2 weeks. Hope everyone had a great mothers day!!
The good- I am super excited, getting pre tips gitters and realizing how many things I could not tackle until after exams.
I completed exams today, even writing the last pages of my paper at 11 pm last night. now we wait for ...grades
Dh as it turns out did not need to travel this week which is a huge relief for me.
Mothers day was lovely, gardening and playing. I even went out with the ladies saturday night, had such a nice time it was 1:30 before I got home:eek:
My new disney bag shipped today!
I purchased a few new light weight and light colored tops for myself.
A big good- we have been having a huge car issue that it seemed was not covered under warrenty. It was looking in the range of $3000 to fix! Some how, the dealer got manufactuter to cover it 100%!! It was a huge stresser and we had even considered canceling disney. Thankfully I work PT andmy mom has been here to help. Its been over a month since the car went in for repair.

The bad- I am freakin tired!
I have done so much extra hair and work to get prepped for my nieces upcoming wedding(5/20). Friday alone I spent almost 5 hrs on her hair(hilights, lowlights, cut, keratin and styled for pics.) Then I took portaits for them, which I must say came out GREAT!! That was another 3 hrs. (all with 2 little kids in tow.) Then saturday I went to do a communion hairstyle at 7:30 am and then went out. Kids got cuts yesterday, DH today, my nieces trial bridal style as well, some eyebrow waxing. Tomorrow my mom, color, hilight and cut! Groom next week. All the while I am working as well and school. I need this trip! I have to do the whole bridal partys hair, grooms mom and my sis and moms hair that day plus my boys are in it! That is why sis in law is coming, she can help DH keep them clean.

I still have a lot on ,my todo list.

The ugly- me,lol! I am the last to get done. I need and would love a pedi before we go. I am forgoing the mani because I only have monday to do it and it wont last until friday. I hope to get my own color at work next week, a waxing.
I have seriyosly slacked on exercising. I hope to run tomorrow and friday and work out wednesday.

So my to do list (which if I am missing anything feel free to inform me)
* Garden Grocer order
* reverse side of itinerary with must see/dos and character locations
* Snack list revisions I never got to finish
* Hair cuts again for kids 5/21(I didnt want to make them short before wedding so Ill do it again)

Oh wow! :scared1: Your to-do list wore me out just reading it! :lmao: I couldn't imagine actually trying to do it!!!

Hope you can catch a break somewhere and put your feet up for a bit. Glad to hear things are working out on the car! Sending :goodvibes your way that you'll find some downtime.

G'luck with the hair for the wedding! And g'luck with finishing your to-do list!

You must have been so exhausted! The pictures of your niece's hair do is beautiful.

Nice that you can do everyone's hair but not nice for you. Hope your niece is considering this part of her wedding gift!!! I always think its rough when people have a family member doing so much work for them and they don't consider what it would have cost them to go elsewhere.

what a big to do list. I decided to go with wegoshop instead of garden grocer - i'll let ya know this weekend if I am happy with my choice! I started making a list on garden grocer but couldn't see my preferred brands so stopped.

ooh here is one to add: verify your flight times! I noticed that mine changed recently. Not by a lot but still its good to check, I read on someone else's PTR that last time their flight times changed by hours, not minutes:scared1: so check!

nothing like cramming a whole summer's worth of stuff into 5 days, eh?

Are you having YDS's bday after you get back?

Your photos are great- the boys are so cute and handsome!

Your transfers came out great! I love the tote bag!! What a great idea! I loved making the transfers and think I will be doing some later this summer. Also DSIL was admiring my tie dye tee's so I'll be doing a mickey tie dye for her after we return too.

Its funny, all the weeks leading up to this one I have been crazy excited/ borderline hyper. This week I am rather calm if you can believe it. This is sort of how I get at crunch time - I go into mellow functional mode. keeping my mental to do list on at all times and getting through as much as I can while maintaining my sanity. Friday I will be absolutely Goofy!:woohoo::woohoo:

I love the shirts and the bag! They are so adorable!!

We get to do online check-in tomorrow!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Friday... we'll be doing the single digit dance!:banana::banana:

These past few months have flown by!

Anyway, still hoping you get things accomplished off your to-do list! :thumbsup2
