I can't remember the last time I received a delivery at the beginning of the 4 or 6 hour time window they state. Is it like that for anyone else?

DirecTV showed up 20 minutes before the window closed
Value City showe up 30 minutes after the window closed
Sears showed up 15 minutes before the window closed
and now Lowe's has 30 minutes before their window closes

Someone must receive their deliveries at the beginning of their window but it doesn't seem to ever be me :)

Yes I often wonder who gets to be at the beginning of the window. It's never me.

I've found if you schedule delivery/installation for first thing that day, they're usually very prompt (this never works for cable though, lol). When we had our new stove delivered by Lowe's, they gave us a drop-off window between 8-10am when we ordered- they called me at 7:45 day of delivery wanting to know if it was too early or if it was ok to pull up. I about fainted. :lmao:

Just got a call from Lowe's. They will be 1.5 hours late. This really bugs me. I mean, if I was 1.5 hours late for my job, It would not be a good thing. How come delivery companies are allowed to do this and we just have to standby

We ordered a dryer from Home Depot a few months ago. The delivery guys showed up 1/2 hour before they said they would. That was a first for us. Usually it's the same as you - as close to the deadline as possible.

I had them show up early once. They were supposed to come between 8-12 and they showed up at 7:45 am. I was still in my jammies!

I was totally counting on them showing up closer to 12...... ;)

The only people that come out for us are Comcast. They are horrible. They were only ever early once. Every other time it has been at the end of the time window. I think it was because I was at the end of their route b/c several technicians lived in my townhome complex. But since I've moved they are still late if they show up at all. So I usually take my appointment time with a grain of salt.

I had someone coming to my house to put together a piece of Nordic Trac equipment. They said they would be here between 9 and 2. At 8:45 my doorbell rang. I answered it and there was a man standing there with a little girl. He showed up early, but brought his daughter with him because he couldn't find a sitter. I think he was a bit embarassed but I was just happy that I didn't have to wait all day for him. I entertained her while he worked.
Several times I've gotten the call that the technician won't be able come today because he's running behind.

when i bought my freezer I was given a window of 9am to 12noon. I walk with a friend every morning at 8:30. I walked knowing I would be home by 9am and they had come and gone already.
