I wasn't able to watch last night!!!
But, about Gia...
I can remember on the show during that season, that I picked up on the fact that Gia was, indeed, VERY different than the assumptions and impression that one might pick up on, based on the fact that she was a completely and incredibly gorgeous young top model. She was absolutely NOT the kind of person who we all know that most of these types of model-women are.
I did, in fact, pick up on the fact that she was very vulnerable, and unsure of who she was, very socially affected, and was basically a sitting duck to be taken advantage of by others who, unfortunately, only see skin-deep, and only see what benefit that access to a drop dead gorgeous and possibly financially well endowed woman like her can can provide to them.
It really is so classic, and a common downfall to many physically attractive young 'stars'. SO many have found themselves in this position over the years. Unfortunately, too common. Look at Lady GaGa's comments that have just come out that I noticed on the YaHoo headlines. Fine line in knowing if others love you and care about you, or are just taking what they can.... Expecting a person like these young 'stars' to play-the-part.
Of course, nobody knows what really goes on inside another person....
And, I hadn't actually gone as far as to be directly concerned about Gia.
But I do have to say that I was not totally surprised when I heard the heartbreaking and tragic news. I was not surprised.
SO, SO, SAD....
....what a shame - such a beautiful young lady to go in such a heartbreaking way....
