Is it even worth it to try for Boardwalk Bakery later in day?

I was planning on visiting the Boardwalk Bakery on our arrival day because we both really want to try one of the cupcakes there that you cant get anywhere else (from what I've seen and read). But the problem is that I dont know when exactly we will make it there. We are hoping to be to the resort by 11am-12pm at the latest. Then we have to check in and get something to eat because air plane food is not edible The plan after that was to head down to the Boardwalk and grab some cupcakes and then head to DTD. My question is that is it even worth it to stop at the bakery that day because I've heard that they sell out of some things pretty quickly and by 1pm a lot of stuff is gone already. This is really the only day that we can get to Boardwalk without it being a huge rush and what not because the other days we are there are booked pretty solid. Plus I'd like to be at the parks at rope drop so I can't go before the parks unless I get up at like 5am and wait by the bakery for the doors to open I wouldnt want to look like a crazy person! Any help would be appreciated.

They do sell out of things...

while I have never had the cupcakes (not my thing) everything I have had was good and most is better then other places
you can always get a Mickey Cake they seem to always have them-- it is good but not as good as other things but will still make it worth the trip.

I haven't purchased the Cup Cakes they sell there and I honestly had no idea some of their menu items can sell out. However I thought their Sandwiches are very good if you want something to eat.

Just a thought - if you don't make it there, the cupcakes at Starring Rolls in DHS are supposed to be really good!

Thanks for the replies! I guess it wont make or break our vacation if we get there and they dont have any of the cupcakes left but it sure will be disappointing, haha. I dont think we can get the Oreo Cupcakes at Starring Rolls. But dont worry we will probably be trying the cupcakes there too

I've been there during the AM and PM, they always seem to have some cupcakes. Not sure if they have all the varieties but there's always some.

Honestly I tried their oreo one and it was disappointing. Their tomato mozzarella sandwich, chocolate chip muffins, cinnamon crumb cake, and mickey cake are awesome.

So even if you don't get the cupcake you'll have lots more great options there. Have fun!! I'm jealous...

I bought the Oreo cupcake at 10pm & there were still 6 there, and other types, so possibly they re-fill those throughout the day.

I've been in there many times after 10pm & they've always had what I wanted. Maybe in a busy season they run out earlier in the day.

Yay! Thanks for giving me hope that they might be there. I really wanna try the Oreo cupcake because I've heard the frosting isnt the same as most of the cupcakes around Disney. I like my icing not so sugary and heavy. That cinnamon cake sounds great too. We may have to make multiple stops there
