is it difficult/time consuming to upgrade from 1 park to 2?

We are going for just one day in May to see WWOHP. We've been to both parks before, a couple years ago, and seeing US is not a must for us... but if we happen to luck out on a non-busy day and see everything we want to see at IOA, is it difficult for us to upgrade to the 2 park ticket and go over to the other park?

No...it's not difficult...just go to Guest Services and they can upgrade your tickets.

On Universal's website the base one park one day is $82.00 at the gate. The one day park to park is $112.00. Si I think you will pay the difference.
