Is it better to call or go online?

My 180 is coming up on Thursday and I'm getting prepared to make my ADRs for my birthday trip. :cool1: I want BOG for New Year's Day, which I know is going to be tough as it is so I need to make my best shot. It's not the first day of my trip - if I'm logged into the Disney website, will it recognize that I'm in the +10 window? (I had trouble with that the last time I tried to do online reservations at 180 days.)

What time do online reservations open up?

Phone reservations are still 7:00 ET, correct?

Can you make Hoop-Dee-Doo reservations online?

Thanks for any help you can give me! :thumbsup2

I prefer on line ...and had great success with it. I got everytime that I wanted within 10 minutes of the time ( example I wanted 12pm and got 12:10pm etc)And I got BOG for the time I wanted! :)

On line begins at 6am, I was logged in by 5:45am and I just kept hitting refresh.

I made my Hoop Dee Do online.

Lots of luck!

I too would start online because it's opens up before the phone lines. They have access to the same information, so in that way there isn't really an advantage to one over the other. If you've having problems getting the system to work, then I would cal when the phone lines open up an hour later.

Yep. Try online since it opens earlier, and if you have problems, then call when the phones open. That's what I ended up doing on Sunday.

Ugh, 6:00 ET is 5:00 my time. My husband is going to think I'm crazy to get up that early on a holiday!

Thanks for the help!

I would try online first" i haven't been able to get a BOG ressie for any night of my trip dec. 30- Jan 4th.:sad1: i need a table for five, though.

After trying about a dozen times for each day, looking for 5 or 6 tops, I tried calling. The dining rep encouraged me to keep checking back. She said that not all the tables had dropped, yet, since the window had just opened. Here's hoping that she knew better than the average bus driver!:rotfl2:

We were at 180 last week for Christmas and we got up and ready to be going online at 5 (Illinois time) We got every reservation we wanted in less than 15 minutes. BOG is a hard one they say. We got one on that first day but a few days later went in and were able to get one on a different day as well.

At 6:30 we called to double check a question we had and there were still no problems.

The online tools sometimes lock up or pause but again it all went fine for us and we are thrilled with our plans

My hubby always thinks I am crazy with Disney planning but planning is sooooo much fun! If I did not have to work I would be a volunteer Disney vacation planner!

Sorry for asking what is probably a dumb question, but:

Can you book Cinderella's Royal Table online? Or just over the phone?

We're staying at AKL Jambo, and have the DDP. (I'm new to all this. I'm ready to go online at the 180-day mark, but couldn't tell if I needed to phone to give my credit card or whatever for Cinderella's.)

THANKS!

Thanks for all the advice! Helped by my cat wanting to go out at 4:30 this morning, I got up and made all my ADRs at 5:00!

I was happy that it let me do ADRs for my entire stay. I made sure I was logged in in advance and had entered my credit card info into my profile. It was very easy. I did not get BOG for 1/1, but got it for my last night, so that works too. I got HDD for the night I wanted, and Via Napoli for another day. I wound up getting 2 more ADRs that I didn't have on my original plan; one for our arrival night and one for lunch on 1/1 since I couldn't get BOG for that night.

The good news is there were lots of ADRs still available for 1/1, for popular places and good times, too. It surprised me. I could have gotten Chef Mickey's or 'Ohana at good times (6:15-6:30). There were even CRT ADRs available.

All in all, it was much easier than I expected! :cool1:

You can book CRT online, but you have to pay with a credit card. If you're paying OOP, that's the way to go. If you are planning to use your DDP credits, I think you need to call. At least that's how I had to do it a couple of years ago when we ate there.

When I wanted to use DDP credits for it, I checked obsessively several times per day to get it (we didn't plan it 180 days out and it was on a party night). When one popped up, I held it online while I called the dining line. I told the CM what I wanted to do, that I wanted it, but wanted to use my credits for it. When she had it on the right screen, she told me to release it, I did, and she was able to pull it up immediately and book it for me. It was time-consuming but it worked. That was before the "My Disney Experience" stuff, so I'm not sure if you can book with DDP credits now or not.

Good luck!
