Saw the commercial this morning. Not impressed, but I haven't eaten KFC in years and years, and will keep it that way, regardless of their lame commercials.
Not seen the commercial mentioned, but the original Colonel is long gone and KFC is now owned by some conglomerate. Their main problem has been maintaining quality/consistency between stores. Rarely eat there anymore since you just never know what each store will be like. That is where they should focus their efforts instead of clever marketing.
I worked as a cook at kfc as a teenager and as a manager for 4 months before I joined the navy. KFC is owned by the same company that owns Pepsi and Pizza hut. I'll never darken their door again. The Colonel actually shot a couple guys for messing with his signs to his restaurant/gas station. One of his famous sayings was "if you got time to lean then you have time to clean".
I guess that the current trend is to just get unjustifyingly angry about everything. I recommend getting a genealogical DNA test and see if y'all have an extra anger gene that replaced your sense of humor gene. What a terrible why to live a life. We only have a few days on this planet. My feeling is to flex in places where the only one upset is yourselves. Be angry about the things that matter.
Was curious so I looked around on Youtube and think I found the commercial the OP referenced. Colonel Sanders getting angry in his kitchen 60+ yrs ago (whether factual or not) really has nothing to do with eating at KFC today. Colonel Sanders is long gone and the new owners of KFC need to grasp the issues the chain has which prevents them from providing consistent quality food. That is the reason I no longer eat there.
