Is it a waste of time to try to request early check-in?

Dean, have you been able to get in early since they started offering Magical Express? We have discovered that already available rooms are usually given to folks coming in on ME. It's just a little frustrating to check in and be told "nothing is available right now", only to hear the folks checking in from the ME bus who filled the lobby just as I got there, being told their rooms were ready.

that does seeem unfair. :sad2:
IMHO, it would be more equitable to allow all guests to check-in at the ME counter upon arrival to MCO, even those not using ME.
personally, it does seem we have gotten a room (only request being not ground floor) a tad earlier than pre-ME ~ around 3:30-5PM with ME instead of 4-7PM before. we just assumed it was the result of finally having a more efficient system.:confused3

Same thing happend to me and when I spoke to the front desk supervisor he confirmed that at BWV at least, they were preassigning the available rooms once the ME guests were landed at the airport and on their way. I found this disturbing and hope that the practice has been discontinued by the time we arrive in July. Will let you all know then!

I don't like it much, either - this is probably why we were "upgraded" to a PV-Pool/Garden room on our last trip. I actually prefer the standard view rooms and location.
