Is it a good idea to go on attractions while World of Color is Showing?

Like Toy Story Midway Mania or Radiator Springs Racers?

Or are the lines just as long?

I've heard others say the line for Toy Story is shorter because a lot of people don't realize it's open. I tried once and didn't find the line to be significantly shorter, but I think I just had bad luck. I wouldn't expect RSR to be much shorter because, while some of the crowds have been pulled away for WoC, that's probably counteracted by the fact that a lot of people want to experience RSR at night. But anything in the pier area that's open would likely be a bit better since it's not obvious that there are still rides running back there. That's my guess anyway.

But keep in mind, since we've entered the off season and hours are shorter, on week nights WoC seems to generally be shown after park closing, so in those instances I wouldn't expect to be able to ride unless you get in line right before park closing.

Depending on when you go the rides may be closed during WOC. At this time of year the park often “closes” before the WOC show. For example the park may close at 8:00PM, but the show is at 8:15PM. I would think if the show was at 8:15, but the park closed at 9:00PM it could be a good time to go on the rides, but I wouldn’t expect them to be walk-ons. However, Disney lets anyone in the line before closing ride so long as it doesn’t break down. So many people like to get in line for rides like RSR just before closing. Since the FP queue is closed the regular line moves faster, and the park is closed so you’re not wasting park time waiting in line.
