So, I just arrived home from a GREAT GREAT GREAT concert that gemmie and I attended. BNL, Guster, and Avery played for the Mass 9/11 fund. It was a fabulous show, and we had the best time!

Now, I know another DISer, Katerbell was there as well (we have chatted about our mutual love of Guster before), and we had every intention of meeting up. And it slipped my mind, until I was in my car, on my way to pick up Jana. And, I had no way of contacting Katerbell. *sigh*

So I walked around 'looking' for her. How I would notice her, I have NO idea, since I've never met her, don't know what she looks like, or even what her last name is. I figured her DIS aura would be the dead giveaway. Alas, it was not to be....

Next time for sure, right Kate???? :teeth:

All in all, it was a great night. And BNL did say they would 'see us all this summer' So it sounds like they might be making another trip to the Tweeter Center folks!

I just saw the concert on the news and was thinking of you guys. I was even going to start a post asking how it was.
Glad you had a good time. Where did you end up eating?

Katie--you would be laughing at us. I spaced, and forgot that Rt3 is BEFORE the Mall, not AFTER, so before I knew it, we were on Rt3, on the Lowell Connector, and at the Arena, before we had ever found a spot to eat. We went for a walk since we were really early, and it was still light out, and found a BrewPub/Restaurant so we ate there. Not bad, but I can't even remember the name.

We did have a ball. We saw Joyce Kulhawick doing a little snippet before the show, and walked behind her, but way far away, so I don't think we made it to TV.

Deb, I can't believe you can spell Joyce Kulhawick's name. LOL

It was a great show. All 3 bands were amazing but BNL was definatly tops. They are all around entertaining:bounce:

Katie, Thanks for your help with the directions:sunny:

LOL! I guess I didnt help much. ;) Especially since I was telling Debbie all the places in Woburn, thinking you guys would be coming the opposite way. Duh! :teeth:

It was SUCH a good show!!! This thread cracks me up!

I have just had the wackiest week at work. No time to check the DIS or even my PMs like I normally do. The Guster/BNL show was THE best part of the week (except for 5pm on Friday, which is fast approaching!)... So I apologize that we couldn't meet up!
Where did you sit? We were up in Sec. L, 14 rows up. Left of the stage.

Guster was good- although, I've seen them perform better in the past. BNL, though, was sounding FAB. I was very pleased.

And of course, all the money went to the Mass 9/11 fund, so you really can't beat that.

Even the comedian was good .... "Crap, a hill!!" <doing his fake scooter impression.>

Hehe... :)

And... oh man, I couldn't believe you didn't see me... I was wearing my "I am Katerbell" shirt.

:D

Rumor has it : BNL and Alanis Morrisette at the Tweetah Centah this summer in beautiful sunny Mansfield, MA!

Kate--we were in Section X, 8 rows up. If you were facing the stage, we were the first section to the right of the stage. So close I could see Ed's handsome Blue Eyes just sparkling. :teeth: (I have a bit of a crush on him, lol).

BNL sounded fab for sure, and they are just off a pretty long tour, so I was very impressed.

Did you get to hear any of Avery? I had never heard of them before, but I thought they were pretty good.

Jana and I skipped out on the comedian, there was this group behind us that literally talked through Guster's set, and one of the women had a voice that went right through us, and they kept it up while the comedian was on, and he was NOT loud enough to drown them out.

And...I am chasing down your rumour as we speak. I have some pretty good inside sources.

I must have missed you in that shirt!! lol.

Deb, you probably had people that talked all through Guster, but I'd much rather have had that, than what we dealt with. We had these 2 girls (women, actually...probably in their mid 30s?) that sat in front of us...and I swear, they hadn't showered or washed their clothes in at least 3 months. I've never smelled something SO gross!! HOY!
We could barely stand it.

You were lucky. ;)

And yes, Ed is my crush, too. I made a CD-R compilation with all Ed songs, since he's my fave, too. YUM! Although, I also like Jim Creeggan, since he's one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen... (IMO). :)

Guster's live DVD is coming out May 19! ;) AND a big summer tour for them.
