Yes, after my father passed away I helped my mother this year change the ownership on all 6 of their contracts to add me and my sisters (along with Mom) as owners, rather than associate members which my sisters and I previously were. First, you need to contact Disney and have them send you a form where you indicate which contracts are involved, how you wish to title the new deeds, and tell them it is a gratuitous transfer (no money exchanging any hands). Then it has to be submitted to Disney for consideration of their right of first refusal, but they always (so far) approve these types of transfers. It did take us a full 30 days for them to exercise their waiver of right of first refusal even though it was just a "family" transfer. Once you receive your waiver of right of first refusal you can then prepare the new deeds and make sure they are titled exactly as shown in your waiver of right of first refusal. You file the waivers and new deeds with the Orange County Comptroller's Office and pay the appropriate fees. Then you make a copy of all your paperwork and submit it to Disney and they will change the member records and mail the new members their membership kits with their cards. Just as in a resale, is a long process, but they will get all the perks as new owners (and be financially responsible for dues). It is only in the resales where money is exchanged and non-gratuitous transfers that the perks are limited to a small extent. I found Disney to be very helpful in the process and compassionate about the loss of our Dad. When my Mom, sisters, and I checked in OKW, where we own, the first time after the membership change, they even left a nice and very touching and sympathetic phone message on our OKW villa answering machine about our father's passing. Hope this helps and good luck.
