Is I-4 the best route (fastest, least amount of traffic) from Tampa to Orlando? We're arriving in Tampa about 11:20 AM on Feb. 10th if that matters. Thanks!!!!!

Yes! I4 should be no problem, once you get clear of I275. That time is good, out of the rush hour. I would guess 1:20 from the airport.

My family and I actually just did this route three times. The 1st time was when my Dad and I went to the Toronto/Tampa Bay Hockey game back on Dec 20th, so going there and coming back to WDW. The 3rd time was when we drove from WDW to Clearwater Beach for the 2nd half of our vacation. Anyway each time we went on I-4 we had no problems at all. So there was no major construction and we were lucky that there were no accidents that happened.

I've done that drive about 4 times now, and have found it to be very easy. Yes, it can get congested. But, the signage is very good and it's easy to decipher where you are going.
The one thing I will caution you on is this....the drivers in that area tend to zoom right along. I'm no pokey puppy, but man, those Tampa folks are in one heck of a hurry to get to their destinations. So, take your time, don't be intimidated by the 'natives', and watch out in all directions.
