We were planning on hitting HS on a Sat for morning EMH but I was wondering if it is worth it considering the shortage of actual rides that are open at that time. Anyone have experience at HS for morning EMH? Is it true that you cannot get FP for EMH?

My opinion is yes, it's absolutely worth it. There may not be a lot open but you'll be able to walk onto or wait minimally for those that are, especially right when EMH begins. It makes for a nice start to the day. You cannot obtain FP+ during EMH.

I'm not even sure mgm is worth it these days let alone getting up early for it. We we're going to forego it all together last trip, but elected to do evening EMH so my daughter could do the Disney jr dance party.

IMHO --- absolutely YES! In at 8:00, out by 11:30, but I have also seen all the shows multiple times. ONLY because of FP+ would I go any other time of day. The lack of rides and attractions makes lines very long at DHS. Get there when they are at their shortest!

If you are planning on signing anyone up for Jedi Training, EMH is the best time to do it.

So for EMH it's Toy Story, Tower of Terror, RNRC, Great Movie Ride, and Star Tours?

Yes, those are now the only rides in the park. Shows aren't available at that time of the morning.

Any opinions on how to tour HS on an EMH morning? We will be using all 3FP's there plus we will get an ADR for Hollywood and Vine for around 10-10:15am. Wife and daughter are not interested in thrill rides but would like to do the drawing class at the animation building. I would like to do RNRC at least twice with TOT and Star Tours as well.

I would do the rides in the order you have listed: 2X RnRC > ToT > Star Tours.

The first drawing class begins between 9:15-9:30 so you could probably meet them in the Animation Building after your rides. The drawing class will end a little before 10:00 so you'll be fine with the timing for your ADR.

If you ride the big rides then yes. If you don't ride the big ones but want to repeat TSMM then yes. If you want to sign up for Jedi Training then yes.

In my opinion, YES! I did EMH at Hollywood Studios on my last trip, and it was totally magical! There weren't as many people around, so we were able to do a whole bunch of (relatively long) meet and greets that were tons of fun. Plus, rides were practically walk-ons and the smaller crowds made it possible to take some great photos. We still spent the whole day there, though, so that we could see all the shows, have a nice long dinner, and watch Fantasmic.

P.S. If you're hoping to get breakfast at Starring Rolls Cafe, do it during EMH. The line was well out the door once EMH were over!

RD-->TSM-->RnRC-->RnRC (consider single rider if alone)-->ToT (FP+)-->doesn't much matter after that unless you want to repeat those... Depending on crowd levels, ST/GMR should not have intolerable waits..

morning EMH is always worth it no matter what the park in my opinion.
you can get multiple things done in that 1 hour and then you don't have to wait in as long of a line for them later.
i like to leave HS as early as possible so i love when it lines up that there's monring EMH there.

yes its true that you cannot get a FP+ for EMH and thats no different than before with FP-

Would you waste a FP on Star Tours on a September morning? Shouldn't it be a relatively short wait most of the day?

Star Tours will be at walk-on level in the early morning. What two Tier 2 FPs are you thinking of selecting ?

May just do Star Tours anyway due to lack of choices other that TOT

EMH are always worth it in our opinion.

The parks are less crowded and lines to rides are not long......what is not to like about that. :cool1:
