Is Haunted Mansion too scary for a 6yr old?

I think it really depends on your kid and also how you present it. Mine is not easily scared but very literal and when he gets anxious I just remind him that it is all pretend and for fun. he did great at 6 and can't wait to go on it again when he is 8 and we go back

My daughter is 6 .... i am wondering if haunted mansion will be too scary for her. we are going as a family of 5 her older brothers are 9 and 10

At 2-1/2, 3-1/2, 4-1/2, daughter rode it and loved it. Probably didn't know enough to be scared. At 5, reality set in and she didn't want to ride it. At 6 or 7, can't remember which, she rode it again and has loved it ever since.

completely depends on the child. If she is afraid of the dark, sinister music, or scary sounds, she probably wont' enjoy it much. The ride is pretty tongue in cheek and not really horrifying - but the distinction is lost on some children who take things literally and or/don't have the experience to grasp the satiric overtones.

Some kids are even so intimidated by the outside presentation that they won't even go inside.
