Is Grandma a Princess or a Pirate? UPDATE 9/28! The Last Suppah! PICS!! Pg. 69!

Love all your plans.

Yes - they did switch the buns at Casey's to wheat, but I liked it. The kids did not complain, either. But looking back at my bill, I paid $17 for 2 kids to eat. I shared with Baby Girl, but only ate 3 bites of a hotdog. That didn't seem like much of a value to me. It used to be a great value to eat at Casey's. Then, ds was still hungry and I ended up taking him to the bakery to get a dessert. We spent another $6 where Baby Girl got a cupcake and only ate the frosting and ds got one of those cinnamon rolls. He did share a 1/4 of it with me, though.

Sounds like a great plan, I love the land ride, the girls not so much, I'm sure Jon would like seeing the fish and alligators and the mickey shaped veg though :)

You gotta try things once...right?? :confused3

Sounds like a good day, although your Motha countdown is beginning to scare me:scared:

It scares me too! ;)

Your Epcot Day looks Great

I love Living with the Land. Such a nice relaxing ride

Epcot is the park where I had my hormonal break-down last year. Maybe this year will be better! :lmao:

Congrats to Meeska! You go girl!! :woohoo:

OMG Jen, you are crackin' me up with your motha! I'm lovin' your daily itinerary and can't wait to see what actually transpires. Bwahahaha!!! :lmao:

Thanks T...for being so supportive of my needs! :lmao:

We always have to start our trip at MK, too.

Love how you are making separate dining reservations for your motha. That's a way to get some space.

Studios- That is what I call it now. Just can't seem to say Hollywood Studios. Ughh - I said it!

I think you should take her, unless you need some more time alone with Jon. There is Muppets, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast show, Playhouse Disney, the new Toy Story ride. You might want to consider having the 2 of them come for the morning and then leave for a nap while you and Jon stay.

I think I've decided that we should go ahead and all go. I really want us to all try the new Toy Story ride.

See...Jon and I used to share and it was a GREAT deal! We'd get a hot dog, some fries, and a coke and be outta there for like $10-$12. How much better can you get than that? Ah well...I guess I'll just have to realize that things change from trip to trip...:sad2:

Side Note: The officially official countdown on the motha expiration has expired. When I report on this day in the actual TR, be prepared for screaming, fights, eye gouging, and any number of other things…whether imagined or actual…

Thursday, May 29th…AK Day. My favorite park. Call me crazy…I know, I know. Who in the heck would like AK the best? :confused3 Me…dats who! I get to Disney and I feel “home” when I walk into MK. But, it’s not the park that gives me the best FEELING. That’s AK for me. I’m not sure why…maybe it’s because it’s like being transplanted to another world. A hot sweaty world…but another world just the same. The vegetation is beautiful. The people are so diverse and colorful in their dress…it just makes me feel like we have escaped.

Anywho…we will be at AK by rope drop this morning…AIS time (for the bus) is officially 8:00 AM motha! I don’t care if your mop of red hair isn’t dry…we’ll leave your booty behind. This is Jen’s favorite park!

First on the list is the Safari. Get there…get it done…get the pics…get out! Hopefully, we’ll get right on as the throngs of OTHERS will be hurdling towards EE. EE is out for us. Not only is there no way Jon will go on it, but there is now way I will go spinning out of control for a glimpse at a Yeti! Nuh-uh…not me folks. :scared1:

The rest of the day will come as it is supposed to. We must do a few key things…TTBAB, Dino for Jon and I, Triceratops Spin, FOTLK (of course).

FOTLK is where we encountered a very rude lady last year. :sad2: We had used our GAC to bypass the line of many after a long day at AK. They let us into the auditorium and seated us at the back of the handicapped section…several rows back. 2 rows in front of us was a lady with a child who had Downs. He was absolutely beautiful and precious. The lady turned around…saw us…and said something along the lines of, “This section is only for those with ‘real’ disabilities.” Exsqueeze me…did you just direct that comment at us?? Oh heeeck no. Especially as the parent of a child who had disabilities…that comment was waaaaay off base. My son’s disabilities happen to be invisible…you can’t look at him and tell all of the multitudes of things that he is dealing with. My advice to anyone…is not to judge a book by its cover. You never know what’s going on behind the scenes. Rant ovah…

Anywho…the other must-do for today is Nemo. I’ve heard several people who didn’t really like the show…but we did! ::yes:: We loved it…and I can’t wait to see it again!

I also have our first (yes, I know…can you believe it’s the first! ) ADR scheduled for today. We have lunch at RFC at 12:30. This is a tradition every time we go to AK…we must hit up this place. And Lexie has never been to one and I know she’ll love it!

No break this afternoon…we’ll power through until we’re done with the park.

THEN…I am sending Lexie and the motha BACK to SSR by THEMSELVES! As discussed previously, today the motha expiration has officially expired…and I’m anticipating needing a mommy break from my own mommy. Today is our trash and dash day at SSR, so mom and Lexie can head back to relax in a freshly cleaned room.

Jon and I are headed to………………………..BOMA!!! For a mommy/son date! We have our ADR at 6:10. And yes…we may be going stinky…and I don’t care neither. IF we have time to go freshen up, we will! If not…oh well people! I need a break from my motha…and I am going to go eat real food without her watchful eye on me the whole time and her comments…like: “Do you really need that? How many calories do you think are in that???” Yes, I freakin’ need this. I don’t care how many calories are in it because it TASTES good. She needs to learn to enjoy food…:sad2:

Mom and Lexie are on their own for dinner tonight. I can imagine her now…”But…what are we supposed to doooooo?” I don’t care…leave me alone…you’re a big girl…pull up your big girl panties and deal with it! :snooty:

After Boma, Jon and I will head back to SSR for an early night in. I figure the kids can go to bed early and I’ll get some laundry in…which brings me to another aside…

Last night I was talking with my motha. I gave her a list of things that she needs to purchase for the trip…simple things…sunscreen, cereal boxes, fruit snacks, breakfast bars, dish soap and a sponge…nothing TOO complicated. I was telling her that I had gotten all of our containers to put the laundry detergent in. Each one will hold one load of laundry soap. I got 5…2 for each person plus 1 extra. I can fit all of Jon’s clothes and mine into one load…and I’ll do one in the middle of our trip and one at the end. On vacation, I don’t worry about separating things…all of our stuff can be done in one delicate load. Well, this was just UNACCEPTABLE. How in the world could I expect her to wash her undies with her clothes? She needed AT LEAST two more bottles of detergent to wash things separately. We’re on freakin’ vacation…deal with it. I don’t want to spend all night doing laundry…but we compromised. I have to go buy 2 more bottles for her extra laundry detergent! DOH!

Friday, May 30th: We are officially past the halfway mark of our trip today! And today is a new day…a different dawning…today is SEA WORLD!!!!

We’ll cab it over I imagine. I have no plans today at all. I sorta looked at the SW website, but it seems too easy to plan. We’ll just make sure we grab the shows we want to see and wander the rest of the day around the park. I haven’t been to SW since I was younger, and Jon has never been. Plus, my motha didn’t want to go to Florida without doing this. I’m game though…and sorta excited!

Mom did want to do Discovery Cove today, but I didn’t want to, and neither did Jon. Lexie is too small…so mom just decided to come with us to SW. Besides…she might have been bitten by those sweet dolphins…they can smell hovering mothas! ;)

We’ll cab it back to SSR and grab a bite at either the hotel or over in DTD. I figure that today could be another great shopping evening…as today is…PAY DAY FOR ME! :woohoo: Gotta spend that cash sistas!

Bedtime as soon as possible…as tomorrow is the most important day of this trip! Pirates and Princesses at MK. Hmmmmm…is Grandma a princess OR a pirate Lexie?

Up Next: Is Grandma a princess or a pirate?

I need to just do it...right? What am I afraid of? This is our vacations for 50 years!

Exactly!! I always say the only regret I have is that we didn't buy in earlier. We had pondered it for 3 years before we realized that we could do this. We financed and the payments aren't too bad!

Your plans sound great!! Love the dinner at Boma with Jon! It is such a great place to eat!!:cloud9: And the fact you'll be alone with him! Send your mom & Lexie to Artist's Palette at SSR for dinner. That way they don't have to leave the resort. Or if she's feeling adventurous, she could take the boat to DTD for dinner.

That really makes me  about the woman at the FOTLK! Some people are just so rude!!

Don't have any advice about Sea World as we haven't been since I was a kid either. Nate & I went to the one they used to have in Ohio, when we got married but that was eons ago too!:rotfl: Have fun there! My kids want to go so I know one of our next trips will include a visit.

By this time, I may have already had to sneak a large bottle of some sort of adult beverage into the room. My motha doesn’t drink…go figure. :confused3 But, when I’m around her…I need to. Go figure again. :sad2:
Maybe she could use a nip, too! ;) :rotfl:

I think Jon and I should get the queen bed, which will be larger, because he plus me is bigger than my 100 pound mom plus my 35 pound niece. KWIM? :confused3 But, she claimed the dang bed…because “she’s ooooollld” and her “back hurts.” Whatevah…
Welcome to my world Jen. :headache: Try this - if she has a bad back, the best thing is firm support, right? Well, she ain't gonna get that on the queen bed. It's super soft an squishy. The pull-out, hoever, is that memory foam stuff with just the right amount of support for old backs. :thumbsup2

Worked on Gramma. ;) She just complained about the AC instead.

What is that called? Living with the Land?
::yes::

Side Note: The officially official countdown on the motha expiration has expired. When I report on this day in the actual TR, be prepared for screaming, fights, eye gouging, and any number of other things…whether imagined or actual…
Thanks for the warning. I'll be sure to have a drink in hand before reading this one. :cool2:

I love that you and I both work time away from the mothas into The Plan! :lmao:

You are so right. With my last 3 vacations I could have had half my DVC paid off. If you go as often as we do...it's worth it...right??? :confused3

Maybe she could use a nip, too! ;)
