Is Free dining announced 180 before?

I was wondering for 2009 if they will announce free dining 180 days before it becomes available. I wanted to know because a bunch of us are talking about going next August/September. We want to know if we are lucky enough to get free dining will we need to make reservations before it's announced or after.

When is the time frame for past announcements?

this year we were at disney during April break when it was announced. I actually booked while we were there!

No, they don't. At least this year they didn't.

What people were doing was to book their ADRs first and then booking their free dining package. If you already had a WDW resort reservation you got an extra 10 booking days and then you could change your reservation to a free dining package when they were released.

no they have yet to announce it that early. weve gone every year and just booked when they announced it, i have never had a problem eating where i wanted to.
but now with the rumors of 90 day adrs, maybe it wont matter next year?

This year it was released 4/8 for Disney Visa holders and 4/10 for everyone else
