Is FP+ availibility for popular rides an indicator of how busy the park will be that day?

For those who visit often - have you found this to be the case?

Here's why I am asking, we are planning a short trip during spring break. We haven't been since 2013 (pre FP+). Knowing it will be spring break and super busy, I looked at the crowd prediction calendars and picked which park, which day. When I went to book our FP+ selections, I found the days that I chose to have limited availability (Anna & Elsa, SDMT). So I switched around when we would visit the MK to a day the crowd prediction calendar said would be the busiest of the 4 parks and was able to get much better FP+ times than the day that suggested MK would be the least busy. Fluke? Will we arrive at the MK and it will be packed? Have I set us up for long waits on all the other rides?

For those 2 things, no.
Anna and Elsa is extremely popular and limited in capacity so that pretty much seems to always fill up at midnight 60 days ahead.

Mine train is still considered new and while we have had luck at 30 days....it would not necessarily mean a crowded park day.

So just those two alone would not be the best indicator.

Also, MK often has extended hours on the busier days - the week we are going, the day that has EMH (most likely the busiest) has regular park hours from 8 am - 1 am. the other days that week it is only open 9 am to 11 pm. For every extra hour they're open, that's more FP's that they can issue for that day. So 3 extra hours is about 20% more FPs available.
