Is Evie the towel dog on board?

Hi Disney Friends! I sailed on the Destiny back in March of this year and they had no Evie the towel dog animal (and in fact no towel animals of any kind) on my sailing and when I asked a Cast Member they said that Evie was out of stock at the moment and they thought it might be available for the summer sailings (they even had to post a sign saying it wasn't available because there were a lot of guests asking for it). I was wondering if anyone sailing recently on any of the Disney ships can verify if the Evie towel animal is available yet or if anyone has any updates on when it might become available?

It wasn't on the Wonder for our B2B cruise that we just finished on 5/1. From what I was told while on board, they have been sold out fleet wide and Disney was having trouble getting them back in stock.

Always baffles me how they get caught off-guard with merch items like this. They would probably be selling hundreds of them on each and every sailing if they were fully stocked to meet the demand. How much revenue are they losing out on?

On the Magic a couple weeks ago they had none and said the earliest they might get more would be May.

Agreed! Considering how much advertising they did before starting to sell them and then when they did get them on board they had to limit the number you were allowed to buy. You would think if they were having a hard time getting them that they would have pushed the date of having them on board-but Disney is Disney.....

They also should have put them in Stateroom gifts, where they could more easily enforce a maximum number and show when it goes out of stock. But they probably wanted to drive the foot traffic to the stores.

We were on the Treasure last week and I asked about Evie and was told sold out fleet wide and may get more in stock in a couple of months, which doesn't help since we're not sailing again til next year. Like Disney didn't know it would be so popular?

Or the supplier just can't keep up. It happens. Don't know where these are made though. Anyone have one with a tag on it saying where it was made?

We were lucky and got ours on the treasure late January just days after the video was released. People didn’t even know about it, but we got him night one. (Did not rope drop the shop though). Our dog passed away late December so it was a special purchase and fate was on our side getting one.
