Is everyone getting excited for HOCKEY season

A little OT, but starting tomorrow, I am officially a NEW HOCKEY MOM!

My friends think they'll have to sedate me for games, because they've witnessed my enthusiasm (all positive ) at soccer games. LOL

Oh, and we do have a new 50 inch plasma with HD that my DH is looking forward to his Leafs TV this year. And for those of you at this comment, just remember, TRUE fans never waiver.

Just wanted to know how first day of hockey Mom went.

I had an older gentleman into my work a couple of weeks ago. He is about 92 I think he said. He was wearing a Leafs hat.

So I had to ask, "What is like being old enough to remember the last time the Leafs won?"

I have 2 ladies in the office who are leaf fans. The timing was priceless.

Thanks for asking! It was great. There are a handful of kids who have obviously never played before, and the rest are experienced. But he loved it! And I was so proud of him. There were a few "wild Mom's" next to me and I just told DH that if I ever get like them, to remove me immediately from the arena.

I think it's going to be a fun winter.

i know several people went online .. some got tix.. some never got into

We are huge Sens fans and I am very excited that the 2 opening games in Sweden against Pittsburgh are going to be televised. The Penguins are my second favourite team so I am very happy about this match up.

We are considered season ticket holders because we bought 20 tickets. I have to go and pick up my tickets today because they were delivered to our old address by mistake, even though I made sure they had my correct address nearly a month ago. Good thing I am friendly with the people who bought our house, and stopped by on the weekend to tell them they "might" come there!

DS and DH went to the Leafs last night. They had an awesome time. They went to the tailgate party, and had a blast.
They were shown on TV twice, and when I told DS he was so excited.

I love me some hockey. But my favourite hockey has already started... OHL. I do enjoy watching NHL but find the excitement a little higher with the young guys who just seem to play with a bit more passion.

My husband loved this! He's a Flames season ticket holder, so obviously a huge Flames fan.

We are going to WDW in December, and before we even bought our park tickets DH was checking the Tampa Bay Lightning's hockey schedule!! We have now added a hockey game to our itinerary while down there...Tampa Bay Lightning vs Boston Bruins, Thursday, December 4th @ 7:30pm!! Good grief!
