Is Enchanted Tales with Belle really a good use of FP+?

I know Enchanted Tales with Belle is often sited as a top FP+ priority, but I've been casually monitoring wait times and it seems like this one is rarely excessive, especially compared other meet greets, etc (e.g. Ariel, Tinker Bell).

Appreciate any thought on this!

It's not just a meet and greet though. It's an interactive show where adults and children get to interact with Belle. If you see the wait times aren't excessive, nothing beyond 30 minutes, then don't waste your FP. My son and I plan on visiting our June trip....at least twice or until he gets to be the Beast! :tink:I believe after the show you can have your photo taken with Belle and I'm sure she'll sign autographs. I plan on seeing Belle in France too and I'd love to have a yellow dress and blue dress picture of Belle with my son.

I've been watching the wait times in the morning and yes, it's been pretty reasonable lately. If you have something else you'd rather FP and you can get to Belle in the morning I'd go for it. I will say that Belle seems to be harder to pick up as a 4th than some of the M&Gs. I regularly see Tink, Ariel, Cindy/Elena, and Rap/Tiana come up these days (not Townhall Mickey And Minnie though). So if you do decide not to FP Belle I'd keep an eye on the wait times and hit it when it's typically reasonable. It's 30 right now (noon on a Fri, estimated CL 8) while the Fairytale Hall Princesses are 15 and 20.

Belle does not sign autographs during this experience FYI.

I don’t think it’s a good use of a FPP unless it’s a must do for you. Usually you can find a low wait at some point in the day :)

Thanks for that! :flower3: I'll just plan on taking the pic with her and doing the autograph and pic with the Belle in France. That'll be fine with me. I don't think in all my visits to Disney I have ever visited with Belle in her blue and yellow dress. It's usually been one or the other. My son and I are going to see how many autographs we can get on this trip. Luckily enough for me at 11, he's still interested in meeting characters...even princesses!!! :love:I love my boy!!! :cloud9:

We had FP for it and glad we did! When I was monitoring wait times for it, it was consistently at 45+minutes standby. Some days much higher! When we got to the attraction, sure enough it was 60 minutes standby.

It depends on what else you want to get FP for. Refer to the FP sticky which has very good rankings for FP priority. You can usually get it as a 4th FP with moderate refreshing.

The queue that you miss is cute but nothing to wait an extra 30-40 minutes for.

The queue for Belle is a wooden fence, mostly outside, only partially covered, so you don't miss much if you use FP. We used FP for it on our last trip, and I would recommend a FP if it's a priority (and your group does not need FP for roller coasters). It's a very low capacity attraction. It takes time to move through the three rooms and put on a play. It also isn't a great use of Rope Drop time since it's so long. In the time it takes to watch one show, you could be through 5+ rides or 2-3 meet and greets if lines don't build too quickly. I have noticed that wait times this year seem lower than in the past, so maybe that trend will hold. The app says 35 minutes as I write this (1:00 on a Spring Break Friday), which is less than pretty much everything else in MK. Now you have me rethinking my FP choices for our next trip ...

As others have said, I wouldn't use a FP for it unless it's a priority for your group. When my daughter was 4/5 yrs old and REALLY into Princesses, we used FP for it. Now that Princesses aren't a big priority and we've seen the show multiple times, we only do it if the wait is 30 mins or less and fits into our day. It really is a super cute interactive show and I highly recommend everyone doing it at least once.

I decided to wait to same day it on our March 12 MK day, and the result was we didn’t get to it. I was able to get FP for about 4 pm, but we had done EMM that morning and were not interested in staying in the park until then. I tried modifying repeatedly but got nowhere. Wait times after the EMM breakfast were 45-60 minutes, so we bailed on it.

So if your heart is set on it and your schedule isn’t flexible, it’s worth considering prebooking a FP.

Yes Belle doesn't sign autographs. We did get bookmarks with Belle's "autograph" printed on them many years ago when meeting her there.

Thanks so much for the fantastic feedback, everyone!

I think I might swap out our ETWB FP+ for something else, and plan to hit it standby by 10 AM at the latest (but not first thing at rope drop; as others have noted, it's length means it would take up too many those precious first minutes . . ).

Thanks again!

If you have a kid that does well in the evenings, as it gets later at night there is often no line at all. In fact we have had to wait for more people to show up to have enough to fill the main show roles.

We never waste a FP+ on ETWB unless it is our 4th FP and one just pops up that kicks in almost immediately. If I had an absolute Belle fanatic little girl that had never done it before I might- but outside of that probably not. DD is crazy about Belle and still loves meeting all the Princesses, but after several times doing it over the course of a few trips decided that it was no longer worth sitting through the show to get her picture with Belle and she would just have to stick with Blue dress Belle at EPCOT at WDW.
