I have noticed that DoorDash is trying to become king of fast food delivery services and I cannot figure it out? Because it used to be that DoorDash was number two and Grubhub was number one but with the debut of UberEats and Postmates DoorDash is now number one. It seems that every fast food chain from KFC to Wendy's even McDonald's has partnered with DoorDash and it seems that because of this DoorDash has taken off like a rocket now. Another thing I noticed about DoorDash is that they are starting to offer deals during holidays and special events like Super Bowl and March Madness with Little Caesars Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings and even Valentine's Day deals as well and what it tells me is that DoorDash is becoming successful and they will constantly improve in the years to come

There are several food delivery services and not sure how we would know which one is doing better then another. Seems like yet another group of companies who thought they could capitalize on how things were when covid first started. Nothing wrong with that, but they also seemed to assume business would always increase. They are all competing for the same customers and likely there will be some sort of shakeout/consolidation in this type of business. The fact that one does a lot of advertising doesn't mean they are the leader and are likely spending a lot of money to do that.

Uber, for example, has never turned a profit as a company and loses a LOT of money each year. Companies that constantly lose money eventually go out of business.

Well, like Sam said, why wouldn’t they want to be?

After trying and using all the services through the pandemic in my view they already are. If a shop charges more through them vs in store prices they’re 100% transparent about it. Their drivers communicate with you, if there’s an issue with your order they rectify it immediately, you can DoubleDash (get things from another store) with no extra fees and if you pay for Dashpass there are zero fees unlike other services that do shady math and charge you a bunch of fees anyway. Most importantly, tips 100% go to the Dasher.
