Is Disneyland suffering the same "growing pains" that wdw is?

I was wondering if Disneyland is suffering from the same issues that wdw is right now, huge crowds, fp+, etc? I am watching a video of dis land right now and I am seriously considering trying to fly my crew to Cali on this next trip. Any input ? Thanks!

No FP+ at Disneyland (yet....knocking on wood).

There's no true slow time anymore, but there are times that are less crowded.

All weekends are crowded, since it's a local park. But you can still find slower weekdays. Also, as Tom said, no FP+ which is a big bonus.

As a WDW Passholder, we made the trip to the Original Park last year for our Honeymoon, and are planning a trip in 2016. Well worth it.

I am to deciding on a trip to Disneyland. I am so unhappy with WDW right now. After seeing pictures from DL this past week on FB and the ABD trip, I think I want to see it myself. DL was my first Disney experience. That is where I fell in love with Mickey Mouse. I have not been to California Ad., so that is a plus to.

I was raised on WDW and only discovered DL as an adult when I moved to L.A. right after getting married. I adore both locations (see my quote to the left!) and I firmly believe that anyone who is a Walt Disney fan owes it to themselves to make at least ONE visit to DL.

I will predict (Tom, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this) that FP+ will not come to DL. DL has a much larger base of locals to contend with than WDW does. A LOT of people wake up, rub their eyes, yawn, and say, "Hey, let's go to Disneyland today." FP+ would not work for them and it would probably make them angry. And like I said, I know that WDW has locals with AP's, but DL has a lot MORE of them.
