Is Disneyland Admission a 'perk' included with WDW Annual Passes?

I'm sure this will sound like a strange question, but I think I read something about this last year, but I can't find it now.

(1) I thought that I read something (last year) that says that Walt Disney World (FL) Annual Passholders get free admission to Disneyland (CA). Is this true or am I just imagining things?

(2) Was it EVER true in the past) that WDW Annual Passholders got free admission to Disneyland?

This is one thing that bums me out about the AP's. I pay a lot for my Premium pass and WDW AP's are scary expensive! I wish they at least gave you a nice discount on tickets for other parks, but nope as Dangermouse said, there are no perks for having a pass for another park.

I am unsure if there ever was a cross park deal with AP's, but honestly I have never heard of one.

They should create some kind of Disney Universe annual pass that gets you into every Disney park on the planet. Price it around the cost of a DLR and WDW pass combined, so it looks like all the other parks are thrown in for free. Very few people would buy it, but it would identify the most loyal customers.

I wish Disney would offer some type of discount - say 10% or 20% - on admissions to any Disney park if you are an AP holder. Are you listening Disney?? :worship:

I always thought they should have some pass or ticket of some kind that would get you into more than one destination too! Or they could even have a US Disney pass for just DLR & WDW. I am sure that it would encourage people to go a little more! :goodvibes

...but it would identify the most loyal customers.

Or the most wealthy customers, separating them from the riff-raff of the only semi-wealthy who could only afford DVC.

Sorry, but it chafes me when people equate loyalty with money spent. To a certain extent it is true because you choose what to spend your extra money on, but at the same time not everyone has money to throw around and so your income shouldn't dictate what sort of fan you are.

Oh I hope this doesn't turn into a DISsing contest.

We all know we're loyal to Disney which is why we're here. Let's give him a pass on this one!

I was told by CM's at WDW that my unused non-expired Magic Your Way WDW tickets can be used at Disneyland but not vis-versa. Annual passes are only accepted at their designated parks.

Correct, and I was also told by a CM that you can't then convert that WDW MYW ticket to a DL AP. We have a WDW 7day pass that I was going to use at DL, but now I think we'll want to convert to a DL AP at the end of the trip, but I'm out of luck.

I wish...now that would make me celebrate! :cloud9: We've had a few trips with DLR/WDW close together.
