Is Disney Visa card worth it?

My question is...how do you get the rewards? Can you pay the rewards toward your balance or do you have to request a "gift card" of some sort?

As far as the picture you can go everyday. I have two cards and they let us use both for two pictures. The points can be transferred to a card and used anywhere in Disney or leave on your statement and when you use card for airfare call and they will apply the points to the cost.

IM thinking if getting the card to use for groceries, gas, ect...for points, but hate the thought of a
Credit card. Do you really get useful advantages? We go to WDW or cruise about every 2 years. Thank you!!

DH & I both got cards a few years ago and both got $200 after our first purchase. It is well worth it for us for 'Disney $$'s'. We have the regular cards, not the premier - just our personal opinions, but we would 'never' 'pay' to use a credit card. We also pay them off each month.

We also don't fly, so airline miles on other cards would be useless to us.

Has anyone used it for the Character meet and greet? And if yes, how does that work?

Could you go every day? Or just once per trip?

Yes, they are great for the free photos. You can go every day if you like. It's time consuming so we usually only use it once per trip.

Yes, so worth it!!! We have the Premier card. Started off with the 1%, then received option to switch to Premier with no yearly fee and received $100 up front with first charge. This has all been within the last 6 months. We will go in December this year and airline tickets will be paid for and should have enough to receive reward card to spend on gift shop purchases. I use this card for everything - even McDonald's as a previous post stated. Pay it off each week easily on Chases' website.

There is some special perks/special events/locations at the parks if you have a disney visa, there is also a nice discount that includes anything disney including your local disney store. Even if you rarely use it as a credit card and have it for a discount card for your disney obsession it's worth it.

I didn't see this mentioned but another interesting option is to use it for the disney vacation account (not DVC), then you can get points plus the free gift cards from the vacation account while you save up for your disney vacation since you go on a regular basis.

I've had my card for a couple of years now. I got an offer to refer a friend or family member and I'd get $50 in rewards and the person I referred would get $200 after they spent $500 in the first 3 months. I told my parents about it and they signed up a few months before our Sept. trip. That gave us an additional $250 altogether towards our trip! They use their card for everything and pay it off each month. I just use mine occasionally right now so I don't accumulate rewards as quickly as they do. I definitely think it's worth it if you go to Disney parks often!
