Is CRT worth it? Odds of getting early breakfast at 90 + 10 window??

Hey All,

We have taken our girls to Disney twice before, and have done the Akershus princess dinner once which they really enjoyed. I have long wondered about doing the CRT breakfast, but hesitate because even though it is pricey, it isn't worth using 2TS credits in my opinion, so we would pay OOP. We have 3 little "princesses", ages 3, 6 and 8. Is it worth it to do just once? Or do you think the Akershus breakfast or maybe 1900 Park Fair at dinner with Cinderella would suffice? I need you all to talk me into or out of it!! Also, for those of you who have tried to book a breakfast at the 90 day window, how hard was it?

Thanks!!!

I've done breakfast there, but it was about 7 years or so ago. I've been thinking of going again, in Aug. I'm taking my two dd's, one is 33, the other 15. The youngest has been about 15 times, the eldest, only once, and has never eaten in the Castle. I thought it might be nice to eat there. My younger dd, though, it a very picky eater, so I though breakfast might be the better idea. I just have a huge issue with paying that kind of money for some eggs, bread and a photo. But, eating in the Castle is very cool...the atmosphere is terrific, and that's what you're really paying for I guess.

It's worth it if you can get in. If you're doing the bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique though, do that in the morning and the castle for lunch so they will be all made up for their pictures with the princesses!

In Dec. we had breakfast at both Akerhaus and CRT and we much preferred Akerhaus! We thought both the food and the character interaction were much better in Norway. IMO you are paying for the "experience" of dining in the castle and its up to you to decide how much your family wants that particular experience. If the castle isn't a big deal go see Cinderella at Park Fare or the other princesses in Norway.

I have also been wondering about ADR's now that it is back to 90 days. We are booked through Dreams Unlimited so I am letting them do our ADR's. We would also like to get that first ADR of the morning. I have the option of three days and there are only two of us so I am hoping we can get it. We are going during free dining also.

I think it's worth it to do at least once.

We went last week for lunch and enjoyed ourselves except the rushed feeling. I felt like they just wanted us out. And we were barely there 45 minutes.

We will go again but not the next trip. Maybe in a few years.

Aker and crt are dif to me I like both, but CRT is a must do at least once! To dine in the castle is amazing. We do it every trip. Don't miss out on this 1 book it!

i have been debating the same thing. We loved the norway breakfast, but dd thought that "castle" was beautiful. She got to do the bbb in mk. im thinking of skipping it till shes older. We will be theer for her 4th day in sept i think i will just book 1900PF for her.

I don't have children but took my 69 year old mom in Feb. and she is still talking about it! She said it was a memory that would last a lifetime! I would think that every little girl would LOVE to eat in the castle and have her picture made with Cinderella at least once. I really enjoyed it also but I would not take anything for that time that I shared with my mom!

it's worth doing once, for sure...eating in the castle is a wonderful experience.

You'll have a better shot at getting your choice of time & meal if you try to book a day towards the far end of your trip. Less competition from people who are arriving before you (that's why when you call on your first day you'll find popular places already booked -- people who check in a week ahead of you were booking a week ahead of you too.)

I have two boys, DS6 and DS4 and DS4 INSISTS that we eat in the castle this year. He is more interested in eating in the castle than anything else this trip.

So we will go for a lunch...don't want to use up any princess' breakfast slots. :thumbsup2

1900 Park Fair was great 2 years ago, but mediocre last year.

I've done it twice before and got my ADR yesterday for 3rd July for my upcoming Honeymoon!

Give it a go - you'll enjoy it.

:thumbsup2

If you have a daughter who loves Cinderella and the castle, you have to do it at least once. As other people have mentioned, it is so cool to see your daughters face sitting in the castle eating and Cinderella and the other princess come to her. The view depending if you get a window seat or not is incredible and a must. When I book ours in 2004, I got up and called immediately and got the last seating for the day at 11:30 at the time. I couldn't believe it. I have heard othere people trying for days and getting nothing, but one day they'll call and there was a cancellation and BINGO. So if you don't get it the first time, don't give up.

I think CRT is a must do!!! To me, it's not worth it for breakfast because we aren't real breakfast eaters. I think CRT lunch is well worth it though. The food is great, and you can't beat seeing 5 princesses.

We did CRT lunch our first trip for our daughters B-day. I was not wowed by the food but the experience was great for the kids, so absolutely no regrets. However, I don't think I'd do it again. I always weigh things in light of did we get enough "great experience" for the price charged. It did not pass that test for me. I agree with the others, though, you have to do it at least once. Then based on your personal experience you can decide if you want to go back someday.
