Is it worth booking a meal at CP mainly to get into MK early? The characters there don't really interest my DS any more, but we have never did this. I keep reading about how wonderful it was to get in the park early and that the food is good there. Just wondered if people thought it was worth it just for that reason mostly.

The characters don't interest my husband or me- or our 17 year olds but everyone insists it's a must-do. The food is fabulous!!! The decor is pretty and the park is nice and quiet in the morning.

We think so. Especially if you get an 8:05-8:15 ressi and don't take an hour to eat. You can have a great breakfast and be out at your desired land entrance before 9:00. Just remember to ask your server for the check when you first arrive. Since it is a buffet, no reason until you are done eating to wait for the check.

we stop doing that b/c we did not want to use a TS for breakfast .....but we do love the crystal palace but we go to a late lunch right b4 dinner so by the time we are done others are going to dinner and the lines are not to bad. BTW with EMH you can get in the park and get good photo's b4 it is crazy with people:)

We did this and loved it. We actually weren't impressed with the characters (we got much better interaction at both 1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickey, we were the last in the rotation as well so waited forever for a quick hello from each princess) or the food.

I loved getting into the park early though. It was amazing walking down Main Street with noone else around. We were there in January so my pictures weren't great (too much fog), but the experience was still magical and it's definitely something I'd recommend you doing once.

I think that CP before park opening is a must do in my mind. I don't have kids or seek out character interactions but there is something completely magical in this experience. I think the food is fantastic. Even my picky mom was happy there (she hates buffets) and that says a lot.

My cousin does not want to meet characters at Disney (she's afraid and it will be her first trip) but I booked an 8:10 at CP anyway knowing full well that I will probably notify the characters to avoid our table completely.

THAT is how much I enjoy the overall experience.

Please forgive my ignorance on this subject since I've never done Disney as an adult. If you have an early reservation to CP, how do you get in the gate? Are there attendants there early? What do you show them? And I'm assuming that means you can get into the self-parking lots early too?

There is going to be a turnstyle specified for early breakfast customers. The CMs there will have a list of reservations. They should have your name on the list, but it might help to bring your confirmation number in case they can't find you. I have no idea about parking.

The last time I walked down Main Street with no one else around was right after Hurricane Frances...that was actually kind of creepy.

We did CP for an early dinner one visit and it was the worst meal I've ever had on property. I would be hesitant to go there again...

This is actually the #1 ADR on my list, even kicking LeCellier off of the map. Why? I am desperate to get a pic of my little family in front of Cinderella's Castle with Main Street virtually deserted. THIS is going to be the highlight of my trip!:)

Getting into MK early at least once is completely worth it, IMO. Just cool to see! We also thought the food at CP was great - for breakfast and for dinner.
