Is CP package necessary?

I've never been during Christmas and would really like to see this at Epcot. I will be there the week before Christmas. If we don't do the package, is it likely that we will get seats?

Well, that sure is going to be crowded then. You would get seats I would think, from about the middle to the back of the theater, seating dependent on how long you are willing to wait in line. All seats are fine though. If you just want to be in the theater, probably not necessary to really wait, as you would be able to just fill in toward the back. It primarily is a 'listening' show, as there is spoken word, music, singing. It is beautiful. If you were planning on eating in Epcot that day, I would probably do a package.

Here is a video I took last Dec, quality is marginal as it was taken on what is primarily a digital still camera, with a video funtion. Does give you an idea though. This was in early Dec, without a dining package for us.

It's possible, but it's easier with the package. We didn't have it the last time we were there and got seats in the very back row. It was still great, but I know I'm going to enjoy not rushing to the show and fighting for seats.
