I see that Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista has shuttles to both Disney and Universal. Has anybody stayed here recently? Should I book there for my September 16-25 trip? I really want to go to both Disney and Universal but can't afford on site hotels. Again any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Lake Buena Vista Comfort Inn is a great hotel! It isn't fancy but you are only there to sleep anyway. We booked our families there for our wedding 10 years ago, then stayed there two years later. We also stayed there four years ago and will be staying there this October. It is close to restaurants, Downtown Disney and the shuttle busses run on a pretty good schedule. We have always had a basic room but there are rooms with coffee makers and refridgerators. Rates are always reasonable too.

Thanks Donna, I've read good and bad things about the hotel so I'm still hesitating a little longer before booking. I've also been looking at the Sheraton Studio City Hotel which looks nice but a little pricey. So now I'm looking at two hotels. Anybody else have any more advice concerning the two?

I feel like I'm dating two girlfriends! :p

I STAYED AT THE COMFORT INN LBV 2 YEARS AGO, WE FOUND THE ROOMS TO BE SUPRISINGLY CLEAN AND BRIGHT, THERE IS ALSO A MICROWAVE AND A SMALL FRIDGE IN THE ROOMS, WE DID NOT USE THE BUSES, BUT FOUND THE SERVICE THERE WONDERFUL AND FOR A RATE OF $35.00 PER NIGHT, WHY COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING.:earsboy:

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel (3) times in the last five years and we have had never had any issues to speak of. There are two very positive things that motivated repeat visits - rates and location. One bit of advice I do offer is that you should request a room on the Palm Parkway side of the hotel. The other side faces I4. Can't speak to the shuttle question other than to share that most of hotels will share shuttle services so depending where you are on their route will determine whether a not your trip to the parks will be in the seated or standing position. I would highly recommend renting a car as there are great dining options very close by and all the theme parks are basically no more than 15 minutes from your hotel. My wife and I prefer the freedom to come and go as we please. Please feel free to contact me direct if you would like do know more.

Thanks Kevin! I will try and request the Palm Parkway view. I may end up renting a car but hope not to. I don't like driving during my vacation and prefer others to do the driving. Though I was looking at the shuttle schedules and they don't look too convenient. I like getting to the parks early! :teeth:

It is an ok motel, but I definitely would not pay more than $35/nite!
