Is Candlelight Processional Package Still Worth $$?

Is the CP Package still worth the $$$ ?

  • No Pin, No Laynard, No 15% Discount, No Way

  • Great Food, Great Show, Good Seats, I made my PS

  • Undecided but going anyway

I was wondering about that.
Beverages have always been included at the Garden Grill, where we've eaten the last couple years, simply because it's part of the meal. And AFAIK the price hasn't gone up there. But for the other restaurants your point is a good one. We're hoping to try someplace different this year anyway.

I was trying to figure our what "AFAIK" stood for...must be "and for all I know"! ;)

Pretty close.
"As far as I know.."
Kind of obscure, I should probably spell it out.

You are paying for your meal and for prefered seating. The 15% is/was only icing. I must say that I did do the majority of my shopping on our CP day, with the 15% discount.

Last year we weren't charged for our soft drinks at LeCellier.

I think they are making a mistake not offering the 15% discount. I did alot of shopping last year in MouseGears. I'll probably save my shopping for World of Disney, get 10% for AP but not buy as much. For some reason, the 15% made me buy things I normally wouldn't! ;)

the cp dinner, all by itself is a good value if you enjoy dining at places like france, japan, canada etc. and enjoy eating a 3 course meal. not sure about the value for kids, but as 2 adults we believe it's worth it.

we also like the seating the package provides. the cp is our favorite christmas show.

I'm feeling better about our reservations at LE Cellier. DH has wanted to dine there. We normally don't eat as large a dinner as provided in the package. Since we are staying at BCV's, I can have the extra's boxed and take them back to the villa to enjoy another day.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Someone mentioned good seats guarenteed. I have to disagree. We did the CP package last year. we joined the line about 20 minutes before the show. We were seated in the section to the left of the stage. People in the no "dinner package" line got the middle section.

I thought it really blew that those of us who paid $42 per adult got put over to the side. It just wasn't the seats I expected.

That being said its great show and we had a great meal. Will we do it again with the package. Probably not. It's way to much food and my boys are at the adult age now with dining and we just refuse to pay $40 for a 13 yr old. With the absence of the 15% discount , my mind is made up!

With all of the incentives gone, is it still worth booking the CP package?

We've done CP 4 or 5 times and have never received a lanyard or pin. The 15% discount was very nice though. Although we're going in Nov. this year I don't think these changes are a deal breaker for future visits.
