Unless you really want the meal at one of the restaurants offered, I'd bypass the package and just plan to be there 45 minutes ahead. IMO, location of the reserved seating section for the dinner package people really detracts from the show. It's all the way to the far right. From there, you don't get a prime view of everything happening, you are exposed to backstage areas (which, again, take away from the experience), and toward the end of the show you'll even be getting glimpses of the Epcot fireworks in the distance.
By 45 minutes out in the off-season, you should have no problem still getting a seat. Worst case, you'll be in the last section on the far left, which is the same quality as the reserved seating. More likely, you'll be closer to the middle and have a better viewing angle for the show.
