Is Ariel always one of the princesses on the ships during the princess gathering for pictures?

Your best bet in knowing which will be on your cruise is to read the Navigators for the cruises on YOUR ship leading up to your trip. For example, I am sailing on the Magic next month, so I am only concerned with the Magic as each ship can be different. I can see (via the Navigators posted on disneycruiselineblog.com) that as of Feb, on the Magic, the princesses appearing from day-to-day, so I'd assume those will be the ones at the meet & greet, are Tiana, Rapunzel, Cinderella, & Belle.

Hoping Belle will still be there next month!

That is who was at the greeting on the 2/22 cruise.

I don't know when the Magic entertainment team will change (the entertainment team changes as a unit - their contracts all begin and end at the same time), but as long as it is not before your cruise unless there is a major issue with someone, those will be your princesses.

I know Dream just had an entertainment team change, so those may be different now. The new cast had their debut last night.

I did look on the Navigator for the 7 nights Eastern Caribbean SWDaS sailing it shows Princess Tiana on day 1 and Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel on day two of the sailing so I'm hoping those are the same princesses that'll show up to the princess gathering on our cruise.

As long as it's the same cast/team - and barring any emergencies with any of them - it should be. It primarily depends on the cast.
