Is anything working in Magic Kingdom today? 6/4/21

We are here today too... every ride, but mine train, has had a small stopping point. Peter Pan was an abrupt stop... people mover, light came on when in the space tunnel. Nothing that’s been a major, but in 8 or so trips I have never been in every ride that experienced glitches. Back at pop for a rest... trying to decide to hop or return.

Is anything working in Magic Kingdom today?

We’ve been in the park for over 45 minutes, and so far big thunder is down, splash Mountain is down, haunted mansion is down, and Pirates of the Caribbean is down. Also jungle Cruise will not open at the regular time because they’re having major technical difficulties too. Is anything working today? It is Friday, June 4.

I imagine that concessions and the merchandise stores are all open for business.

Sadly, that's not even true yet. Hoping for more restaurants and shops to re-open soon.

We waited out Splash. About 8:10 they came down the line letting us know they didn’t know when it would open. Apparently there was a problem and they didn’t know what. I noticed everything on that side of the park was down. It finally opened about 8:25 and we were off and off by 8:40.

Thanks for following along! Here’s the finale to the adventure:
We took a siesta around 3pm when it started to pour. With the park closing at 9, we planned to come back. Around 6:30 we headed back to the Boardwalk bus stop. At 7:05, an attendant at the stop finally convinced a bus not originally intended for MK to take us there! That man deserves a medal!

it was actually great at MK and almost everything was open. OF COURSE... when exiting Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, my daughter slipped, pinning my leg in the car. I stumbled, twisted ankle and knee, so I spent the rest of the night limping. It fit perfectly with the theme of the day!

We ended up fitting in 5 rides in the last 90 minutes , and capped off the night on the People Mover as the park closed, so all’s well that ends well.

OP, did you head over to Animal Kingdom on 06/05? (I just read that multiple attractions there are closed due to losing power. Sounds like the kind of day you might have there.)
