Is anyone stuck in Disney, unable to get home?

I was just wondering what they were doing for people who"s flights were canceled. How many did not get to go to Disney as planned because of the weather? Just curious.

A very good reason to take out travel insurance.
It's kind of ingrained to us Aussies to do so, but I sure hope that those missing out had insurance and are staying safe

Not this time, but I got stuck in Disneyland during Hurricane Sandy because my flight back to Virginia was cancelled. It was awesome.

I got stuck at MCO for like 12 hours years ago, due to a big snowstorm up here on the East Coast. Was not fun, because they said they could "take off at any time", so we couldn't leave, and I remember being on/off the plane at least twice for several hours. But I also realized they had to do it all to be as safe as possible, so I tried not to get too bent out of shape, like a LOT of people around me did. And this was in the days before the "airline rules of what they have to do when you're stuck on the tarmac".

I was on a cruise when the storm happened. One of the employees on the cruise mentioned during an event the storm and many didn't even know yet.

After some ended up trying to stay on the ship since they wouldn't be able to get home, not sure if they were able to. For me I was flying to upstate NY directly so my flight was still on and I was able to get home.

A few people here had work trips cancelled to DC this week, but no one is ever as upset when work trips get cancelled

Glad you made it home safely, Kamik. From what I hear, upstate NY did much better than areas nearer to "down here". Definitely an other-than-normal-winter-situation!
