We are getting married in our home state (Rennaissance/Medieval Castle theme) so all of our family can attend, but honeymooning in Disney. We go twice a year, Easter with the kids, Summer just the two of us.....so we know our way around. I wanted to know if there were any couples just honeymooning...where ya staying, where are you eating, are you planning on doing alot......or like us, alot of nothing. We'll hit Epcot 1 evening, and maybe AK, so we can take the leisurely tour.....but other than we plan on reading by the pool, sipping frozen drinks....and going out to eat at places with NO characters:goodvibes

My fiance and I are marrying at home here in Michigan and then we'll be at the Contemporary from the 10 - 15th!

We've never been - but I'm making reservations at California Grill. I know we'll be doing Epcot, AK, and maybe MK. I'm going to plan out our days there but I expect the plans may not be followed on some days depending on if we just want to relax.

We're getting married June 2 at home, then honeymooning at AKL Sept 14-23. We decided to wait for several reasons, the most important being Free Dining! But we are really happy that we have a 3-month gap....that makes 2 things to look forward to!

We are planning a semi-relaxing trip LOL. This is my DF's first real experience in WDW, and I want him to see everything. But I also made sure we have some down time. And I am trying to keep the character meals at a minimum! But we do have ADRs for dinner at CRT...I've never been inside the castle before! :cloud9:

The California Grill is fabulous!!! Make sure you let them know you're on your honymoon, they will do their best to seat you a great table by window....What A View:thumbsup2

We are getting married at home in NJ and then beginning our honeymoon in WDW - at the GF. We have ADRs made for each day - because I'm an obsessive disney planner and its part of the fun of planning a disney trip - but we are going to try to take it easy - sit by the pool, etc. :thumbsup2
We are especially looking forward to the Chef's Table at V&A and the 1900 Park Fare character breakfast before they close for renov.!

We are getting married at home in NJ because we have large and very close families and want them all to be there. We were originally planning on honeymooning in WDW and then a Disney Cruise --- but Disney is taking the ship over to the west coast for the summer of 08 so we had to change our plans. So now we are going to Disneyland and then a Disney Cruise to Mexico. I am excited but I know I will miss WDW :)

We're getting married at home, in New York, on 7/7/07....popular date to get married. We leave for our Disneymoon 7/10. My fiance` thinks we're staying until 7/16, but we're really staying till 7/19. I can't wait to tell her. I'm going to give her customized maps of the parks that I ordered from Disney a few days before the wedding so that she can pack her bags appropriately.

We're staying at the Grand Floridian and we plan on doing a lot. We've each been to WDW 10 times, the last time was together, but only for a day before we left for a western caribbean cruise (non-Disney). This is our first vacation together without family. She comes from a family with conservative values, so we haven't had a chance to go on a vacation alone. We have a lot to do and I'm sure we'll be tired, but it's worth it. We have a few ADR's like Chef Mickey's for breakfast, Crystal Palace for breakfast, 'Ohana, and Mama Melrose's for the Fantasmic dinner package, which I'll probably cancel because the night we have scheduled there are two showings of Fantasmic. No need to have the ADR with seating when we'll definitelt get good seats the second show. I'm really looking forward to our second night, as we'll be eating at Cinderella's Royal Table. She has no idea we're eating here and I can't wait to see her face when I tell her.

Congratulations to all of you that are also getting married and have a great time. I know we will.

We're getting married in NJ on Halloween at a small B&B that we love. having 28 of our nearest & dearest join us for 2 days - then back to Staten Island for a post wedding reception/luncheon 4 days later..

our DisneyMoon will be in December - starting at the GF and ending at SSR with a 3 day Wonder cruise in between. can't make our ADR's yet but am sorting it out. on the list so far: Concourse Steakhouse, Narcoossee's, Wolfgangs ( a must on every trip!), Le Cellier, and a couple of unknown's! we will also be here for my birthday while honeymooning and are planning on doing one of the Candlelight Procession dinner packages.....

as for parks, 1 day MK, 1 day MGM, 2 days Epcot and 1 day AK - the rest of the time - RELAX by the pool...aaaahhhhh

congrats to all my fellow brides and spouses to be! :goodvibes

Congrats to you and YEAH! for surprising your sweetie!! She will be THRILLED! I know I would be in her shoes. I root for guys who do sweet things like that because my DF surprised me and it was the best moment of my life!:cloud9:

I'm getting married here in Virginia Beach. I really wanted a Disney wedding, but I just knew most of my family wouldn't travel to FL for my wedding so I gave up that dream.

We are going on 2 trips to Disney after the wedding...the first one I call our "first honeymoon", we are going on our regular, yearly trip with my FH and his family, and we are bringing his youngest son with us. Then we are going on our real honeymoon, just the 2 of us, in December, most likely it's going to be December 8-15th. Just waiting for FMIL to get the dates straight for us.

We're staying offsite, both trips, because my FMIL has a timeshare at Star Island in Kissimmee, but it's just a few miles off Disney property. I know in October, we are doing MNSSHP on October 31st, but we haven't done any ADRs or anything as of yet, mainly because that's a whole family trip, we'll be doing just a lot of counter service and such. In December, we want to go to MVMCP and dine at LTT, we want to do the Candlelight Processional dining package, still need to figure out where we want to eat at for that, and I want to make an ADR for one of the MGM restaurants, not sure yet which one. I guess I need to figure that all out soon, as the time to start making reservations is coming up soon. But FMIL still hasn't done our week in FL for the honeymoon, she's giving us one of her weeks, and she needs to transfer it, and she's not doing it quick enough for me! I don't know if we'll be at the same place, Star Island, or if we'll she will have to go to a different resort.

We're getting married August 11th in MA and honeymooning at WDW from the 12th-17th. We would have loved a wedding at WDW, but it was too pricey and we wouldn't have had everyone we wanted to attend there. We're compromising and bringing a Disney theme to the wedding...and of course our honeymoon!

We're staying at the BC and we've got ADR's almost every day, I think. We're eating at CRT our first night and also have an ADR at California Grill one evening, which I'm very excited for. FH made sure to let them know we're on our honeymoon, so we'll see if we get a great seat! Ohana's is also on the list, as is Mama Melrose's for the Fantasmic package. Le Cellier another night, and I believe we've got breakfast ressies one morning at Crystal Palace, though we might change that to Donald's Breakfastasaurus. My DS from my first marriage wanted to eat at CP last week when we were there for his birthday, so we figured maybe we'd change our honeymoon ressie to Donald for a change.

We plan to do the 'big people' attractions for sure at all of the parks since DS is too small for just about all of them, still, and we don't bother to baby swap when it's just the 2 of us with him. I'm sure we'll relax at the pool some (though at Stormalong Bay in August, I'm not sure how relaxing that will be!!) and also plan to do a couples massage at SSR Spa :thumbsup2

We're getting married here in St.Catharines Ontario in a fairytale styled wedding and reception on May 10/08, then were disneymooning from May 11- 18. Im so excited! All your plans sound so wonderful!

I'd love to hear how all of you are bringing Disney to your at-home wedding. I'm having Disney music - for the bridal party intros, the cake cutting, etc., disney stickers on the favors. Still thinking of other things to do.

Hi

We're getting married in an old fashinoned church followed by pictures on out towns 100 year old carousel and rose garden. Our reception is at a ballroom and our colour are pink and brown. The invites have castles and horses on them ( as I cant get the disney ones shipped to Canada). The centerpieces are wire carriages with ivy and mini lights, our first dance is to "Beautiful" by Wayne Brady on the Cinderella soundtrack, the dinner music is the disney wedding cd, favours have the castle on the favour tages, the unity candel, garter, pen and guestbook, ring pillow and flower girl basket are all fairytale themed that I got on ebay for cheap. Let me know if you want the link its a great deal and they have lots. My tiara, necklace and braclet are all the disney swarofski cinderella set and our cake topper is cinderella and the prince.

PHEW, thats alot, please message me if you want any help.

Kiki

FYI: Concourse Steakhouse will be closing this fall so they can expand Chef Mickey's :sad1:

We're getting married on the beach in North Carolina, the very beach where DF first told me he was in love with me. The ceremony will be private, only our parents will be present. We'll leave the next morning and drive down to FL for our Disneymoon! :goodvibes We'll be having our reception at home mid November so we can celebrate with our families and friends.

My FH is a huge Donald Duck fan, so we themed ours to Donald/Daisy for most everything. He found a cute picture of them hugging which we used for our save the dates. We found a fantastic pic of the backs of the two of them on a bench, facing the castle, which we had reduced to black and white and put on a vellum overlay that we tied with ribbon to the top of our invitation. The same picture, in original color, he put on cd labels, which we affixed to our favor, which is a homemade cd with all sorts of different Disney songs we picked (all love/friendship/dream themed). Our first song is also Beautiful (as a pp mentioned it was hers).

We also have tied it into our seating assignment/centerpieces. Our centerpieces are going to be baskets with white flowers and each one will have a different disney plush in it (I think we got the 15 inch ones). We've got 18 different characters and each table will be themed with one. We'll put people's names on a card that will have the character's picture on it, rather than a table number to let them know where they are sitting. Our cake is all white with black/white trim and we bought a cute Donald/Daisy figurine of him handing her flowers over a fence to put on top.

I think that covers the extent of our Disney incorporation :rotfl:

We're getting married on August 4th and Disneymooning from August 5th - August 11th. We were originally going to leave the reception early and then head down to Florida. But since we live 6 1/2 hours away, we decided against it. Plus, since we're leaving a day later we get to stay for the 1st August Pirate and Princess Party! We're very excited about that.

During our last trip, we bought the Minnie and Mickey cake topper at the Grand Floridan. We also bought the M and M champagne flutes inside the castle. Those are very special to me

Also, my Mother in Law is going all out for the rehearsal dinner. We're having it at the Officer's Club on the air force base and it is completely themed in Mickey! We just finished the place settings last night. Mickey hands to hold the dessert and glass, Mickey's pants to hold the plate, and Mickey's shoes to stick out.

Here's a picture:

I'm so excited!

We are getting married 11/23/07 here in NJ so we can have all of friends and family with us. We will then be flying to Ft. Lauderdale for an 11 night cruise and then 4 nights at WDW! I can't wait! :bride:

I knew I forgot to mention something in my firsr post. We're having a Disney themed wedding, in NY. Our first song as husband and wife will be "When You Wish Upon a Star" and we have a few more Disney related things, such as:

"You'll Be in My Heart" is the mother/son dance.
Disney orchestral music during cocktail hour
"Be Our Guest" to be played as dinner is being served
Mickey and Minnie cake servers
Each table will have a picture of a Disney couple rather than a table number. Our table is going to be Mickey and Minnie.
The cake is going ot have a Disney cake topper...we're still working on what it's going to be exactly.
Disney favors: Coasters and a shot glass with Mickey and Minnie on it with our wedding date.
My fiance` and I bought the Mickey and Minnie wedding ears as well as the Mickey gloves to wear as everyone is leaving.

There might be a few more things but I can't think of them at the moment. If I do, I'll share in case somebody wants to use it in their own wedding. I don't mind.
