Is anyone familiar with the Loving Family doll set from Fisher Price??? Need help!

I was thinking about buying this set for DD Remy for Christmas since she has been begging for it. The problem is I don't know anything about it! I tried Fisher-price.com, but they only have a few items, so I thought about ebay. Man, was that confusing! Is the Sweet Streets part of this or is it something else? Also is the older Little Tikes dollhouse toys compatable size wise? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Sweet Streets is not part of Loving Family... Loving Family is larger people... Sweet Street people are about the size of Polly Pockets, therefore DD's fave... she loves her Pollys... both sets have numerous "add-ons"... Any questions, just let me know...

MomtoEm: I thought it looked a different size. Thank you for the info. Remy wants the bigger size (ever since she cut her foot on Polly Pocket she has hated her and everything remotely similar ). With the larger set can I purchase the old Little Tike doll house furniture? I saw a ton of cute things on ebay and I do not want to waste money LOL. Thanks for the help. I hate toy shopping, I would MUCH rather just get her clothes!

One more thing....the older LT toys are more compatible in size to the Loving Family, but I think they are still a bit bigger.

I agree with Disneyprincess6...the old LT are just a little smaller than the LF... She will love the LF dollhouse though... it is very interactive... and they have minivans, etc... DD is 7 now and just getting out of them, so she has enjoyed them for years... Everything is big, but most things store within themselves... DD loved having the different homes... the Beach one she always called "Disney"...

What about the old Playskool dollhouse furniture, can it be used with the larger set? Can you tell I am lurking on ebay LOL!

Disney Princess 6: Thanks for the info, I was looking at the Sweet Sounds dollhouse too. I thought the demo on fisher-Price.com looked neat so I will most likely be getting that house. Now I just have to furnish it *sigh*.

Awwwwwww I wish my DD was still little & I could buy her little dolls & doll houses. I'm getting tired of spiderman, pokemon & cars. I hope I get to spoil a few grand daugthers some day.

We sell the pieces at my Walmart- and I think they are quite kewl The people range from about 5.5 inches (parents) down to 1 (baby) and sell for about 4-5 dollars a pack (usually has 2 figures) the furniture is about the same and starts at 8 and goes up to 15 for the new "outside" sets ie a beach cabana, pool etc

Certain parts of the deluxe sets "reacte" to the doll house (ie the birthday cake sings)

I bought a set like this one at a yard sale a couple of years ago and it has been one of the best purchses Ive ever made!

My DD (age 4) has both the Loving Family Dollhouse and a whole bunch of Sweet Streets sets. The Loving Family Dollhouse is big. I think it takes up a lot of room. My DS (age 2) also enjoys playing with the LF Dollhouse. I just asked my DD which was her favorite between the LF Dollhouse and her Sweet Streets and she answered that it was her LF Dollhouse. Maddy and Ben play with the LF Minivan on a daily basis.

I'm not sure what my point is, LOL, but I don't really think you can go wrong with either toy.

DD6 has a huge collection of dollhouse items that includes Loving Family, LT, and Playskool. Most of it was picked up at yard sales, but I used ebay to get an idea of what to look for. We prefer the LT house, but the Loving Family furniture. It's been fun building a little town. We have a school, garage, stable, grandma's house, camper. These are the full size ones, not Sweet Streets.


Watch Toys R Us, sometimes they have a buy 1 get 1 free on the Loving Family stuff. That's how we bought most of the pieces we bought new.
