Is anyone else disappointed in the BF ads

I guess this year I don't need alot of the door busters so maybe that's why I'm disappointed or maybe it's due to the fact that I am reigning myself in a little bit, or my kids ages, 6, 8, & 16, but I'm not feeling the need to run out for anything. Maybe I will feel different when I have the actual flyers in hand, but I wanted a great deal on a electric fireplace and I'm not seeing that, I also need a laptop, but am not willing to wait in the lines all night, so I will just see what the weeks to come offer (I knew I should have picked up that HP two weeks ago at BB).

Anyone else feeling the same way as me. I mean I will go out because I will feel like I am missing something if I don't, but I almost feel like I'm going to spend money just because I want to be out and about at 5:00 a.m. :confused3

Me too!!! I dont see anything great and I am already done christmas shopping but if I dont go out and look around then I feel like I am missing something. My kids are almost 2,5,10 and I dont see alot either....nothing I need or want.. I wanted to try to save money and not go out and just spend it to spend it but I havent decided yet...maybe I will just stay home and put my tree up :p

I totally agree!! I feel like this year I have found things on sale already for better prices than what I have seen ads for on BF. Also, since our big Disney trip starts Jan 2nd I have scaled things down this year. I am going to need to see much better deals than I have so far if they want me out of bed at 3am! :rotfl2:

I don't really see anything on Black Friday either. I have gotten AWESOME deals over the last few weeks for pretty much everyone on my list. I am almost done with my shopping!

Ditto! There are a few things that I am going out for, but no major deals...except for the Cricut E. I waqs hoping for a deal on a Geotrax train since I missed the deal from Kmart a few weeks ago, but so far nothing!

I totally agree, I don't see anything, and will just spend money I don't really have, but I will be out there with the rest of the crowd.

Nothing that I'm seeing that I have to rush out and get. I'm even avoiding Bath and Body works on BF because I have so many coupons from them that I'd still make out pretty good regardless of what they're offering on BF.

Agreed! Here are the deals I am glad I jumped on and I am pretty much finished!

I bought leapster games back in the summer for $17 on sale at TrU less a $4 coupon, haven't seen anything better than $13.

I bought (and my Mom also bought) the Wii games when Target had B2G1 free and the $10 off 2 coupon, that sale was AWESOME!

No good deals on Wii in the BF ads, so I bought it at Target with the $20 gift card offer yesterday (plus I had a $5 off $75 coupon). Still mad I didn't get the Amazon deal in Oct, but DH kept saying there would be something better.

A month ago Old Navy had an anniversary sale then after that a stuff and save sale, first 50 customers got 50% off. I got my niece a puffy vest ($11), fleece pj bottoms ($5) and a pj top ($4).

Toys R Us had Loving Family doll house rooms B1G1 free. Got DD the last 2 rooms she needs for $12.99 total. I had already bought one room at WalMart for $12 so I returned it!

Crocs Beach sports teams (last week's deal of the week) for $9.99 plus 15% off and f/s. Got 2 pairs of Crocs and 2 jibbitz for $22 shipped.

Honestly, the only thing I am interested in is the snow boots dirt cheap at WalMart on BF, then I can leave a spare pair at DD's preschool! Whooppeee! :rotfl2:

I'm with you guys. The Wii games in BF ads are not on my list. No great deals on legos, books, toddler toys or bedsheets. Those are what I'm going for. I was going to do the Old Navy free lego rockband thing, but pulling an all nighter for a chance at a game and spending $20 on Old Navy clothes we don't need...I'll pass. I do want to go to Target close to opening and Kohl's after that. A few items on my list at each place, but no amazing doorbuster I'm running for.

They just emailed out today the coupon that went out in the mail last week... get an item up to $13 for free when you spend $10 or more! Whoo-hoo! Perfect for me since I have an allergy and I can only use stuff with essential oils (aromatherapy line), they are normally $13!

I just got that e-mail too! And also like you, I've got an allergy so I can only use the antibacterials soaps and the aromatherapy line (which is hardly ever on sale, dangit!), and I usually get the room sprays when they are $3.

There's not much out there for me either...but I still have to go just to say I did. I will get a few DVDS and the food processer.
