Is anyone else bothered that the Wish's sailings are so short?

Thanks! No, I live in Southern Manitoba. We have wonderful sunny year round skies.... amazing HOT summers (90f and higher)...but HORRENDOUS winters! Dec-March can be -30 down to -48 and worse. Gotta love those prairie winds! (and damn Colorado always sending us their "lows" lol)
You know, everyone laughs at the US for using our good old Fahrenheit temperature scale, but as soon as someone wants to make a point about extreme high temperatures, it's right back to Fahrenheit!

Well see we know C and F in Canada but most Americans just say to me "What's that in F?" so I'm used to just telling it in F cause if I say +30c they don't understand that that is hot. Plus when I'm talking about -40c it doesn't matter to differentiate because its the same temp in F and C.

Yeah, Dream has always been the land and sea ship right? Tack a short cruise on the end of the WDW trip? Now Wish might fill that slot, plus increased demand for the new ship means they can move more guests. In a few years I guess we'll see if it gets better itineraries or becomes the new Dream.
Oops. I guess we have been doing it wrong. We usually spend a week in Orlando and then do a 7 night. Doing the same but 9 night this summer. Got to make up for lost time:rotfl2:

Is a B2B more expensive than a 7 or 8 nighter?
We switched from a 7-night on the Fantasy to a 4-night and 3-night on the Dream in February and the cost difference was about $70 per stateroom. I don't know if that always holds true, though.

That is what I did so I can see the Dream. Of course, surprise, I am gonna be on the fantasy again for a 7 night sailing in 15 days. Lol 😆

We didn't have a choice. Some icky weather canceled our flight and every other flight within 150 miles for the day. It all worked out, though. We were having trouble with reserving excursions and Palo brunch the stuff on the Fantasy cruise, but we had no trouble at all on the two Dream cruises. And we got two stops at Castaway Cay, too! :)

Yes.

I’m doing the 8 night Bermuda in September 2023. My cheapest inside room was £2401.

A b2b on the Wish for similar dates is £3155 and that’s for 1 less night.

Oh, sure. The Wish costs more than the Dream/Fantasy, anyway. Those new, higher prices seem to be sticking for next year, too. I was hoping that they'd go back down to normal after the inaugural season, but I guess not.

If I do one in Aug 2023 it is roughy the same as a Fantasy Eastern if I did a front-facing OV on the Wish or a 7A on the Fantasy. About $500 more than a Fantasy Western in a 7A (looking at the same forward facing OVs on the Wish) - difference goes up significantly with verandas on the Wish.

Bothered? No. It was always expected to pick up the Dream 3/4 night runs. Future ships in the class will do the longer 7n Caribbean itineraries. Hold tight!

It's the reason we haven't been on the Dream yet. Coming from the West coast of Canada I'm not flying to FL or a 3 or 4 night cruise and a b2b with those ports doesn't appeal to us. Luckily we will finally get on the Dream as she heads to Europe next year. Guess we will have to catch the Wish when she eventually moves to 7 night cruises after the next new ship is built(?) or if we combine it with a FL land trip to WDW/Uni/Vero etc.

Other than the Fantasy, all of Disney's ships started with those 3 and 4 night Bahamian cruises. The Wonder did them for what seemed like forever before Disney sent her out for more adventurous itineraries.

I know Disney has started doing some 5 nights out of Miami, but would love to see more 5 nights out of PC. Sometimes a 7 night is too long for me and they can get pricey.

There are a handful of 5-6 night cruises over the next couple of years from PC. Likely to balance out the longer 8-10 night cruises the Fantasy is doing some weeks.

I was browsing last night and the 6 night Western Caribbean in April '23 on the Fantasy looks appealing

We are doing a B2B for that very reason. I suspect that after we do the Wish once, we probably won't go back on it ever again unless it starts sailing longer. But we really wanted to see the new ship!

Strangely, we moved from a 7 day on the Fantasy in August to the B2B on the Wish and actually got money back. It was for a comparable stateroom (1 Br concierge) for 4 people and the sailing dates are a day or two apart. Maybe because we booked on the day that the Wish bookings opened and they were the cheapest?
