Is Airtran good to travel with?

some great prices there for mid april right now- want to book but never heard of them- any experiences?

We used them twice this year and will definatly use them again!

Loved the option to upgrade at the airport for not too much $$

We have flown to Disney World numerous times, and ALWAYS, use AirTran. They are inexpensive, courteous and our ride to the "World". We fly from Philly down, and usually get in early.

We used them fir the first time last July and had no problems. Their prices were so good that I thought we'd take a chance. They were as good as any of the discount carriers and not as bad as the worst. Nothing fancy but that's what you expect.

I have never flown with them but very often see comments on the board about them continuously changing or even cancelling flights.

Really? I booked SW flights to Ft Lauderdale return in Feb for 2 adults for US$517 all taxes in. Have they gone up?

We were booked with Airtran though Disney for our Sept. trip. It was a reasonable price for the three of us out of Buffalo. We were surprised. Usually we book ourselves and wait for sales. I think it was $600.00 U.S. Better then 2,000 + here in Toronto.

Nothing fancy, you get your soft drink and pretzels. They came down twice. Most times you are lucky and wait a long time for one drink. They give you free headsets for the radio in the arm rest.
