Is AAA cheapest place for park tickets?

I think buying them in advance either online or at the Disney Store is the cheapest because you can do will call online (or take them with you at DS) and you don't have to pay for shipping or any handling fees (which I believe AAA still charges).

Also check Mousesavers.com and sign up for the monthly newsletter-- she often has links to exclusive prices and tickets.

Ticketmania has good prices and they do not charge for shipping. Use the mousesavers link (sign up for the monthly newsletter that comes out on the 15th of each month) and save a few dollars more.

I researched our tickets for months before buying them. The best way to go, just like the previous posting, go to Mousesavers.com, sign up for the free newsletter and then when they send you an e-mail (around the 15th of the coming month) follow the links. Ticketmania sent our tickets exactly when they said they would, along with a bunch of maps and Orlando coupons, no shpping and tax included. I saved a ton of money.

Ticketmania. At first, I was scared not to use Disney but the price and the extra day was too much to pass up. We got them and with no shipping fee. They worked fine and we even had them added to our Disney Resort key.

Another Ticketmania fan! Those coupon books they send with the tickets were great! Saved a few extra dollars on offsite restaurants. And the maps were very helpful!

Your resort KEY-CARD can be magnetically encoded to also be used as your theme-park admission (no additional "ticket" is needed).

This can be done at the time of resort "check-in" by the CM at the desk.

You can then just run your "room key" (card) through the ticket reader at the entrance gates.

We have always used our room key as our park admission, but that is because we have always gotten our tickets at the time we book the resort room (directly through Disney). How do you do it if you buy from ticketmania? Do you just show the CM your tickets and they switch it to your room key?

Our AAA (Mo-Ks-Ill) used to be a LOT cheaper for tickets, but it isn't anymore since the new ticket pricing. It sends you to the official Disney web page to order! Harrumph.

By far the cheapest tickets and the best deal at Disney are the convention tickets. If you are going to a convention, if you know someone who is going to a convention in Orlando, you must look into this. Our convention 4 day park hoppers were about 20 dollars cheaper AND included 4 admissions to Disney Quest and/or Pleasure Island on each ticket. Warning: These tickets CANNOT be upgraded to add a day, so get the number of days you need right from the start. You can find links at Allearsnet for the number to call. ( I don't know if this is shady or not but, although we were legitimately there for a convention, no one asked to see proof of that at any time....I don't know if you can get "convention tickets" and not really be at a convention. Let your conscience guide you.)

I, too, was frustrated with the South Carolina AAA website's link to Disney's site to purchase tickets at full price. However, when I called (and then purchased the tickets by walking into their office), the "office" price was lower than Disney's. I did not check Ticketmania (found this site after we purchased our tickets, bummer...), so I can't speak for the price comparison there. Our AAA office DID have some of the previous years' Non-expiring hopper tickets for sale, though, for what that's worth (they were more expensive than the current hopper passes, though).
