Is a Premium Version of Disney’s Lightning Lane on the Way?

The MK and HS would seem to be the only parks where this would be worth it, right?

Hmm Orlando… maybe start at $140 ($150 after tax) up to $280 (Just under $300 with tax)

And still buy the ILLs separately 🤪
No!!! It has to apply to ALL the rides, no ILLs separately! Otherwise it’s still “time” oriented!

I remember being told that Disney would never charge for this. You just never know.

I would expect more tiers in time. It just makes sense.

One big issue is that Disney would not want any new pass to significantly cut down on the demand for VIP tours. A family of 6 wanting to skip the lines all day can currently buy a 7-hour VIP tour for around $4000 to $6000, depending on the time of year. If the LL VIP pass was a vastly cheaper alternative, they would quite possibly pick that option instead of the tour. Also, Disney would want to avoid large numbers of people arriving at LLs at unpredictable times, so would probably want to price such a product at a premium price. I would be surprised if it was less than about $600 per person.

I was thinking similarly. At $150 too many people would buy it. I was not quite as high as $600, but thinking $300-$500, depending on season.

How many VIP tours are they selling today?

My understanding is VIP tours gives you a lot more than just skip the line. They will shuttle you from park to park in a private van. Plus, the tour itself is great for folks who just don’t know what to do or where to go. Skipping in line is just one aspect of the tour. For someone who has the cash to spend, wants to maximize their time, and do zero planning for the trip, then VIP tours is it. A LL VIP pass still requires you to have a plan and know where to go.

As far as the LL VIP pass, we have 2 kids under 6 years old. I’d pay upwards of $250 for it if it means we can navigate the park on our own time and skip the line whenever we walk up to each ride. Managing two kids and working Genie + on my phone was a struggle and took away from the experience. We’d have a much more enjoyable experience if we didn’t have to rush from ride to ride. We’d likely buy more from shops and feel less exhausted at the end of the day (maybe).

So who's all in for this great new value?

As an FYI Igor is more greedy thank Cheapek

Curious - does anyone know if the inventory for these are lowering inventory for standard lighting lanes by 1 per ride making that a worse value, or are they just gonna make the 3rd class who paid $150 to get in the gate wait longer?

😆 When I said I’d pay $250 I meant total (for a party of 4), not for each person! Yikes..
EVERYBODY would spend $250 for a family of four for this. The rarity of this is the only way it can succeed. It would utterly fail at $250 for a family of 4. It has to be priced at $1000+ for a family of 4, plus ensuring they are staying at a top hotel for it to succeed. This isn't meant for everyone to do.

My max price would be $150 a day.

That’s the limit on what I’d pay to be able to bop in any lightening lane, even if there was no ability to repeat rides.
With the one-time ride limitation, I would never pay that much. If it was a max of 3 times, maybe even twice, I would consider it.

Yeah I definitely wouldn’t be doing that with any regularity but might do the odd splurge at $150pp and that would depend on other circumstances too, like which park, crowd levels, who is in my party…

Not sure if people are aware, but unlimited FP, FP+, and LL tickets have existed since at least the launch of the Magicbands, and they're not uncommon, but the price is, "If you have to ask..."
